The Hammock Samui is the best place to stay in Koh Samui, we had an amazing stay for 3 days 2 nights. the staff, the reservation staff especially give the best effort in order to help my partner do a surprise decoration for my birthday, last 16th Feb 2020. I love the view from our unit itself. It's undeniably breathtaking! we just don't want to leave our room. The front office staff, Diu is very helpful and friendly. Danita, the reservation staff helped us make a call for my ferry arrangement while the another Front Office staff, a guy didn't have an effort to help us to make a call to Seatran. He even asked us to go to Seatran Office on our own, but thanks to Danita, she manage to help us with our ferry schedule. so to conclude our stay, I would like to express my deepest thanks to Diu, Danita and 2 Housekeeping staff for making our stay the memorable stay. We will surely come back to your property for our anniversary and The Hammock Samui is highly recommended.

We had an amazing time at Hammock - originally stayed for 3, but pushed it to 4 nights. Very helpful and sweet staff that obviously take pride in their job. Danica is a gem and a true hospitality professional to give specific credit. The beach it is on is far away from the hustle and bustle with a very sweet neighborhood just outside with everything you need: array of restaurants, bars, massages, pharmacy, travel agents and an awesome Thursday night market. Plus, there is easy access to motorbike and car rental to get out and see more and jet ski and paddle board rentals right next door. After seeing the rest of the island, we decided we found the best tucked away secret at an awesome price. They have a plentiful complimentary breakfast and 2 free waters daily.

The property is tenderly cared for. We saw gardeners working on it daily, it has some huge beautiful trees shading the apartments and beach in the afternoon that are honestly the prettiest trees along the beach and beautifully lit up at night. Pack light as the rooms are small and no dresser or closet. But that didn't bother us. The beach just outside the apartment and the bar /restaurant with pool right next to it were our living room, so we had PLENTY of space.

The Hammock Samui was a great choice for my quick stay in Ko Samui. It is so close to the beach you can practically step out of your room into the water! There are great little deck chairs and a bar on the beach to enjoy the scenery at all times. The bungalows are a generous size and well maintained. My only caution is that it is reasonably far away from the airport so it can cost quite a bit to get a taxi there - this might be fine for a longer stay but there and back on a quick trip can add up.

Dear RachaelR17, Thank you very much for sharing your great experiences at The Hammock Samui Beach Resort! We are happy to read that you happy with the location of the resort as its just few step walk from your room to the beach and enjoy spending sometime at the little deck chair in the restaurant with the view of Koh Phangan. The Hammock Beach Resort is located in Maenam Beach which take upto 20 minute by car from the airport but you will feel privacy and tranquil with a nice view looking at Koh Phangan. Thank you once again for your wonderful review and we do hope to welcome you back again to our resort! Best regards, The Hammock Beach Resort Team

This was not a good experience for us, we arrived and got checked in when we were shown to our “bungalow” I thought we were in the wrong place from looking at the pictures on the website, we had booked for 14 nights but only managed one night we got put in room G04 I’ve since seen other reviews about this room and would agree with what they have said, they did offer to move us to another room but said it was just the same, I do not like leaving negative reviews but I am extremely disappointed.

Even when we checked out 13 days early there was no question as to why or to try help us! We just got told “no refund” and charged 40 baht for a bottle of water

Unfortunately my stay wasn't as relaxed as I had hoped due to building works next to my room. There is a large hotel being constructed literally at the entrance and works would commence at 8am until 10pm at night. I think it would be better to let customers know in advance as I would have opted for somewhere else. It's a long way to come and so beautiful to have this spoilt by such noise. It could still be heard from the beach so couldn't really escape it (obviously not as loudly). This room would have been best unlet during; G004.
Not helped that the scooter parking bays were here also and the staff area, lot's of loud talking early every Morning. And I'm a heavy sleeper!
Anyhow, other factors were positive. Right on the beach, b.fast was OK (eggs made fresh to order), everything replenished when asked if running low. Reasonable selection.
Staff were pleasant enough and seemed busy round the hotel, cleaning & gardening. Not too sure my room was cleaned often (a towel appeared on the floor under my sink, guessing a leak was found. This was left there and began to smell damp).
FYI there are a no wardrobes. With all the little flies about (it is Thailand!) I kept my things in my case. Liked the little beach bag & flip flop touch.
Most comphy pillows I have ever known! 😊
I didn't eat at the restaurant. Drinks were limited (no white wine & limited spirits for cocktails). Seen some plates pass me that looked good.
FYI there is a shuttle service from Samui airport allot cheaper than the transfer offered (going not returning) especially if travelling alone. Talking of which, mostly couples, families etc stay so not much company. English from staff wasn't great for assistance.
Some nice restaurants along the beach to the right (surf bar & place next too) & top of the road walking upwards towards the main road (chicken place was good).
Small pier to Haad Rin etc, that goes one way. But other than this I wouldn't stay in this location again if you want to venture unless you have a scooter/car. Main road was more for locals and the 'bus' seemed none existent. Taxi taxi taxi is all you hear and not that cheap.
Some much nicer area's of Ko Samui in my personal opinion having now been all over the Island.
In summary; good for couples wanting to relax or who have transport to venture around.
Enjoy Thailand! All round an amazing place if you haven't been before. 👍
