This is the first I’ve ever left a review on trip advisor and it’s all because of this family!
We turned up late with no booking and the families daughter got us a room. We then met Alex (the owner) and he invited us to a local Italian restaurant to have dinner with his family and friends, brilliant.
We then went paragliding and he allowed us to BASE jump from them.
All his friends, colleagues and family (including Tea) are simply amazing.
If you are looking for somewhere to stay, this is the place.
This year, from 24 February to 3 March, was our third to stay at Garni Settsass and the warm and friendly hosts - Alex and Shabnam. We discovered the hotel back in 2013, when we were attempting to find accommodation and ski in the Dolomites, and also celebrate Christmas and New Year. From the very first day we fell in love with the place - Alex is a talented craftsman and artist and we were fascinated by the bird houses, dog house, sunflowers, and other wood work, that decorates the house. It makes the place very cosy, and also gives it a kind of a dreamy touch, evoking the warm lit houses tucked in the snow covered woods from the Christmas cards, which made me long for such an experience as a child. In addition, the hotel offers a very well equipped ski store room, cosy rooms, excellent breakfast, and a magnificent view of the village and the mountains. It is a short walk away from the slopes, and most importantly from the treasured Sella Ronda path. This is why we kept on returning and are looking forward to our next visit there.
Cute, comfy B&B in Colfusco. Some what querky decor. Modern bath. Balcony with great view of mountains. Very comfortable, except no control of temperature in room. Great breakfast of tea, coffee, juice, cereal, breads, cold meats and cheeses, yogurt, pastry . Friendly, helpful hosts. Not the ritz, but very good value.
Alex and his family welcomed us very nicely.
The Room and place itself is so pleasant and relaxing.
Highly recommend coming to Dolomites and to this place.
Its also very close to all the attractions and the amazing views of the dolomites.
I highly recommend this place.
We stayed at Garni-Setsass for a little over a week during the summer. Alex and Shabnam were extremely kind and hospitable, and allowed us to use a larger room with a balcony so that our two Greyhounds could be more comfortable while we were out during the day. The rooms and common areas are beautifully decorated in South Tyrolean style and are very comfortable, and the breakfast is delicious. The location is fantastic, with a short walk to the main street with shops and restaurants, and is a convenient base to explore the Dolomites. Highly recommend!
