Fantastic Property. Overall we had a very relaxing week at the hotel. Staff is extremely friendly. The weak point is clearly the culinary variety, but not sure it is fair to criticise given current Covid restrictions. But clearly, there is room for improvement there and also the rooms desperately need an upgrade.

My Wife and I are used to staying in excellent world-class hotels. We paid a fortune for our two-week holiday at this so-called world class hotel.
We were so disappointed. We paid an extra £1,500 for half-board on top of a further enormous outlay.
The hotel was full of noisy, young children and, although situated in beautiful grounds which were difficult
to access, yet there was no dress code. We felt isolated and it was essential to have a hire-car.
However, all the hotel staff were brilliant and we had a magnificent double room.

I love this hotel, the location is simply stunning, the breakfast is excellent with a fantastic choice and a suggestion we should take our time over it, no rushing around here, the pace is very sedate, the staff are kind and helpful, the pool fabulous, not heated but perfectly ok to swim in even in October and at this time of year a holiday here is not quite so pricey. Just a short walk through the wonderful grounds to the beach with a daytime cafe run by the hotel. My room was lovely with a huge and exceptionally comfy bed (love the choice of available pillow types) and from the terrace balcony with its own sunloungers I had views out over the bay through those extraordinarily lush gardens. I had a pedicure in the Spa which was a unique experience with its views out to sea through the pines and the sound of the waves on the beach just a few meters away.
I could stay here forever, it just feels so special, I will be back again very soon, I think it's my favourite hotel in Europe.

We could have staying in a suite in Vegas and still paid less, with hundred more square foot of room. The majority of staff are great, something that should be acknowledged, however the rooms are a little tired, and it just is way too expensive for whats on offer, it's not a true 5 Star experience and as for the evening buffet food, I actually despaired. None of the food went together, it was, I am sad to say after 4 years visiting, extremely disappointing.

For the price, you would expect the rooms to be stellar. Well, they weren't. There was a lipstick stain on the glass cup in the bathroom - ew! Not to mention, the amenities in-room are severely outdated. Just think it's fair to call out before spending $$$$.

Additionally, the room service quality was extremely poor. Again, you would expect this level of self-proclaimed 5-star service would have decent food when ordering in room. Think again. Ordered a simple Caesar Salad (that was the only thing in the description on the menu) and the salad arrives with chicken on it. I am a vegetarian so this was extremely alarming, especially since this wasn't noted on the menu. I then asked for another but with more lettuce since I would be removing the chicken. When it came back it was extremely poor. Oh also, fair to mention that we actually had to walk downstairs to order room service because neither the restaurant OR the front desk was answering the phone due to others checking in. NOT 5-star service.

Ground were really nice and the pool was very peaceful but that's really it I would say. Overall, it was a poor experience for $.

We were surprised to read your feedback about the level of cleanliness in the room since this is one of our top priorities and we perform thorough cleaning and disinfection procedures.
