Lives in Australia
Since Mar 2009
50-64 year old female
I have been travelling the world for over 35 years. In the last five years I have reviewed much loved destinations and many new travels. I'm so privileged to share some of my experiences with readers and I also enjoy gathering many tips from other TA reviews. Nothing gives me more pleasure than being able to help others around the world. Please feel free to ask any questions about the places I have visited!
Points of Interest & Landmarks
Small dept store with some bargains and also quality items.Less crowded than some others in the chain closer to Kowloon.
Good Asian choices and interesting outlets - found all over the city, usually in shopping malls. Really enjoy Express Teppanyaki for freshly cooked food while you watch.
Hectic, full of atmosphere with local shopping choices and good restaurants. Its feels like the heart and soul of the old the Hong Kong. Men still wear cane hats and singlets - this is a densely populated district of the city.
Tourist and local's hub with many chain stores and restaurants. Busy and eclectic atmosphere day and night. Plenty of shopping choices although no bargains or haggling over prices. This is the place to shop till you drop with plenty of cafes for that much needed break.
Cultural and political centre with high end shops.Good architectural gems plus the Central Star Ferry Pier and new Ferris Wheel are located here. Many laneway stalls during weekdays for some good bargains. Cash is king here at these small family owned enterprises.
