  • It is the tropics here, so "slip, slop, slap:" slip on a shirt, slop on the sunscreen, and slap on a hat.
  • Cairns City does not have a natural beach.
  • Cyclone season is usually November through May.
  • Cairns has two seasons, wet and dry. Wet season is January through April.
  • Cairns City is 10 minutes by car from the airport.
