Start the day, and the other days, with a fantastic breakfast and a short walk from the Mont des Arts and other museums
Art museums all in one place! Modern, traditional and the Musée Magritte. They are not free but worth the entrance fees.
Has to be mentioned but not my favourite. Great architecture but a tourist trap, particularly the restaurants. Better to visit the Galerie de la Reine, off Grand-Place, for its architecture, cinema, bookshops, chocolatiers etc.
In Chausée de Charleroi which also has Schleiper for everything you want in art and craft supplies - better than anything in UK, 2 good kitchen equipment shops and a card/paper/gift shop. Zaabar is great, chocolate with spices and you can taste every product before you buy.
The luxury shopping drag of Brussels, also with chains such as Zara and Cos
One of the best bookshops in Brussels and a perfect place to unwind after shopping. Graphic novels, art, fiction, non-fiction and also novels etc in non-French languages
Always has exhibitions and very near the Royal Museums
A small museum but always something worth seeing in addition to the permanent works
For some peace and quiet but I prefer Parc Duden - less manicured and very peaceful
