Empire State Building Questions & Answers

middlesbrough (Redcar)

Hi all.

Want to purchase "skip the queue" tickets as tbh don't want to stand in a queue when we're there for such a short time but trying to look at the best prices. What would people recommend as the best place to purchase?

Thanks

Hi helenandandy,

Please note the only valid ticket that allows you to skip all lines in the building is our Express Pass, also called a VIP pass. It's best to purchase the VIP ticket in full on our website or in our building. If you have already purchased a regular ticket, you can upgrade at the ticketing booth within the building. Please note the Empire State Building is not affiliated with any of the vendors outside the building. We strongly advise against purchasing tickets on the streets as guests have been sold fake Express Passes in the past. We appreciate your inquiry and look forward to your visit.

Hi, we had bought hop on hop off open top bus tickets online as we wanted to see as much as possible. As we were there for 3 days we bought the 3 day passes. Price included entry to a number of attractions of our choice. Those for the Empire State building were skip the queue. We collected them as we entered the building, avoiding the long queue that was going out and around the building.

I paid for the VIP tickets for my husband's birthday which were quite dear but there were no queues to jump. They seemed to be quieter the time that we went - after lunch during the week ( not school holudays) or during the evening.
