I read that some of the coasters do not fit very tall or very large passengers. Which ones would most easily accomedate plus size passengers? Thanks!
6’4 300 lb guy here. Weight fairly evenly distributed, taller in upper torso than in legs.
Lightning Rod yes
Fire chaser Yes
Drop line No
Eagle No
Mystery Mine No
Thunderhead Yes
Sky rider No
Blazing Fury Yes
Flying Elephants (with my kid of course lol) Yes
5'2, 285 lady here. Most of my weight is boobs, but belly is there too. I sat in almost all the yesterday seats and my chest would not let any of them close. The only coast I was able to ride was the Tornado. It was good though!.
I am a 5'4" female and I dont really look heavy but have more of a pear shape and went to dollywood today and because of my thighs being big and when smashed together are bulky I was not able to ride lightning rod, thunderhead, or mystery mine
As in most parks, it does depend on your shape. Can't tell you based on weight. Had a member of our party who fit fine on everything but almost didn't make Lightning Rod because he has large thighs. So you just don't know for sure, but any thrill rides are possible problems. But they have test seats which are pretty discreet, and, lots of people try them just to get cute pictures made in them. So don't be embarrassed to just try it out!
I don't think any coasters really accomidate plus size people "easily". That said, Lightning Rod, Wild Eagle, Thunderhead, Firechaser Express will all allow for larger sized rider. Whistle punk, Tennessee Tornado, and Mystery Mine could prove difficult. Blazing Fury has a single bench, so it should be no problem, though its not really a roller coaster, more of a dark ride.
Most of the coasters are a tight fit. I would think the Eagle would work though. They all have tester seats before the line.
Hope you have a great time!
We don't do much on the coasters. In my experience with other family members, anyone over 300# would not be comfortable on the coasters.
I am not sure. use the test seats next to each ride.
