Is the festival recommended for children 8 to 10 years old?
Hi, Alice R. Great question. The best day for children to attend is on Fridays. Fridays we have family programming suitable for ages 8-10 in the Library Tent, sponsored by Dollywood's DreamMore resort. School groups from all over the country also join us that day!The rest of our programming (excluding our Midnight Cabaret) is geared at a general audience of ages 13 and up. Certainly, we have children younger than that join us at their parents' discretion. If you have more specific questions, feel free to give us a call at 800-952-8392, ext. 224. We hope to see you in October!
It depends on the children's maturity. If they like to read and are interested in the story times a the libraries, I think they will like most of this. The story tellers are animated and, of course, there are always concessions to eat.
