I would like to bring my car to put in bay. Is this allowed? Thanks
Hi John, you can absolutely bring your car! On the Miller it is $32 round trip (plus passengers) to bring your vehicle. Make sure to check with wherever you are staying about any parking policies. If you wanted to leave your vehicle on the mainland we do offer five free parking lots and there are golf carts, taxis, and a bus service on the island!
you can bring a car on the ferry. but I would not recommend driving a car on put in bay. everyone is getting around by golf cart. it is not easy to drive there due to all the golf carts.
If the weather is nice or even a rain storm ☔ which happened to us the golf cart is the best easiest most fun way to tour the island. We barely landed on the island and a storm hit while we were getting our golf cart. It was chaotic cause of the storm. Never being there we had no cell phone service no clue how far anything was and no clue how bad the weather was coming at us. We ended up laughing harder than we had in ages. We were so wet and cold with the breeze. We found a hardware store and got ponchos. Went to eat while drying off. Parking for a small golf cart was challenging since it's so busy. I couldn't imagine finding parking for my car. For us the golf cart traveling was fun and the norm there! Thank goodness we lucked into a cart they were super busy and only had a few left. People were dropping them off cause of the storm which is how we got lucky and got one. We didn't reserve ahead of time and was a trip on a whim. Would love to go back and Miller Ferry was perfect! However they have a nice area they transport vehicles just get there early for departure to make sure there is enough room.
