There aren't any pubs within easy walking distance. One thing walkers do need to be aware of is that country roads on the island are very narrow and I would be very wary of walking on them for this reason. I understand that there are walks and these can probably be found at Tourist Nformation offices. We found staff in all the pubs, shops etc., very pleasant and helpful.
