General photography is fine. Drone is prohibited. We had a bag check at the entry and were restricted to use the drone. This was in Feb 2018.

I doubt there are restrictions on photography equipment inside the park. If i were to be using a drone, I would do it from parking lot- which is close enough to pyramids and would not have to worry about bringing it through gate and security. Pyramid might be only a couple of hundred yards from parking lot.

No restrictions on photography equipment.

Are you going with a tour group or driving in with a rental car?

I wouldn't bring a drone. I don't know if they don't allow it but I did not see any when I was there in May 2018.

This is the most significant national edifice of the country. It would be like Capital Building, White House or presidential memorials in Washington DC for Americans. Photography is welcomed, except inside the museum this is no flash allowed, because of the colorful ancient frieses. Drones are definitely prohibited no matter where you operate from. Think if Capitol police or Secret Service would allow drone over or near those buildings --- Drones are by definition a suspicious risk of carrying explosives from the security point of view. Sorry to spoil your fun.
