I am looking for high quality, woodsy feel lodging within an easy walk of trails and had heard that there is a trail near Aska Lodge B&B called "Long Mountain Trail" which connects to both the Benton MacKaye and Aska Adventure trails. I cannot find any maps or other information to confirm this (other than that the B&B is on Long Mountain). Does anyone know for sure if this trail runs close to the B&B and if there are any maps or information? The B&B sounds absolutely perfect, but I don't want to have to get in the car to take a long walk in the woods....
Hi. Sorry, we drove to the various waterfall walks and never walked from the house itself. I'm sure that Janet or Ric would answer your questions without any obligation on your part.
Have a great time.
The B&B is a great lodge set in beautiful woodland scenery. We don't recognise the Long Mountain Trail. We did the woodland walk at Flat Creek which was about 3 miles by car. The walk was fine but didn't have much of a view as the tree canopy was so high. We suggest you speak to Janet or Ric the B&B owners. They are very friendly and are keen walkers. As for the B&B you won't be disappointed !
There are numerous hiking trails within a very short distance of the lodge with the closest being just a bit over one mile away. I've done some research on Long Mtn Trail, and while the lodge is on Long Mtn, I'm not able to find any information on this trail and I'm afraid I've never heard of it. There is a Long Creek Falls Trail which is along the combined AT, BMT, and Duncan Ridge Trail. If we can be of any further assistance please feel free to call us at the lodge 706-632-0178. Hope to see you soon! Janet-Aska Lodge B&B
