The minimum age for the Half Day, Full Day, and most other trips is age 5. The Short&Mild has a minimum age of just 2 years old. That may sound young but keep our safety record in mind. In 2016 we flipped just 1 raft out of about 4,000 launched. We also had about 50 involuntary swimmers out of 22,500 rafters. That's a typical year, and we have similar figures in '15 and earlier. No raft flips yet this year as of 6/25/17!

I would definitely check with the company.

I have rafted before and am an avid canoer and swimmer/not sure those skills were needed.

What I liked about the trip is that the passengers were expected to do as the guide said. Very interactive. But there's only a few rapids and the rest of the river was a little calmer.
