We are staying here in July with our 5 & 1 year old but I'm getting worried about how safe the place is for children with ponds and rocks etc as well as monkeys (and the threat of rabies). Has anyone travelled here with little ones that can offer advice? It looks so beautiful but children's safety is important. Thanks in advance.
Dear Carolyn, I am very glad you came to stay with us with your beautiful family. And we have taken everything you suggested on board. High chair for the toddler has been purchased. We have 3 nannies on standby. We have developed a special note on things to do for kids in Ubud! We do hope your stay was good. We enjoyed having you all here and we will look forward to your return.
We stayed here in March for a wedding. This villa is absolutely gorgeous and the staff are wonderful. There are 2 uncovered pools and a heap of ponds. My kids are older so didn't have to watch them however our nephew who is 2 had to be watched all the time, his parents got sitters in to help and they were excellent.
With regards to the monkeys they are just damn right forward
You can go into the monkey forest no problem, but either hide your stuff or take nothing. They stole a beer out of one of the guys hands. We didn't see any unprovoked aggression from them but also kept a safe distance and still got to see a lot.
Hope that helps
