What is the power situation like for charging ipad/camera batteries? Do you provide converter and plug adapters for American electronics or do we need to bring our own? If we need to bring them, what style plug do you have?
Dear G5travels. Warm greetings from Cape Grace. Our sincerest apologies for the delay. Whilst we do have converters and international adaptors for all types of plugs for our guests to use, our guests are required to bring their own chargers along with them. Wishing you a lovely day further. Kind regards, the Cape Grace Team.
Hi. The hotel has power outlets for foreign appliances but we also brought our own plug - OREI 2 in 1 USA to South Africa Adapter Plug (Type M) - 2 Pack, Black bought in Amazon!
They have plug banks in rooms for just about every type of plug so I'm pretty sure you will be fine.
Yes not the normal euro plug. I was lucky cape grace has them and everywhere else we stayed did as well even our safari lodges
Our room had a multinational wall socket. However other locations will probably not have this so it would be wise to take an adapter with you. The South African power supply system uses an unusual (and very large) three round pin wall socket.
I obtained one in advance of travel from Amazon.
We brought our own adapters, but needed one more and the desk had one(at least).
We brought our own. You can check on line what's needed or at AAA. The concierge at this hotel go above and beyond. They will go get you whatever you need.
We brought our own adapters. I do not know if the hotel provides them but you can ask. It's a good idea to bring a universal set in any case. You never know where you'll find yourself and you want to be able to charge your electronics.
Send an email directly to the hotel. I brought my own adapters. Check online for the type you'll need. Magellan has great travel stuff.
