Hi Ella, you need half a day (4 hours at least ) I would say . We spent about 6 hours including the cable car ride was enough to see everything and grab some snacks.

Hi Ella, I agree with previous reviewer, we also spent around 6 hrs, we started out in the morning and it was nice, not too crowded.

Sorry for the delay in answering but if you can only get there at four try for another day, you may have wait for up to 30 mins for the cable car then it’s a great sight seeing 25 min ride to the small village before you walk a further 10 mins towards the big Buddha, once at the base it’s about 300 steps to the top so it’s going to take you some time to make it to the top. All up from lining up for the cable car the trip looking around the village going up the the Buddha plus there are other things to see you would have to give yourself at least 4 hours min

It's better to go there in the morning.
