Conveniently located, many things you'll want to visit are within walking distance.
Yes, its a good neighborhood. You can walk about 15 minutes to the monuments. Safe walking. Its across the street from the Hospital. Thought it might be noisy with ambulances but they must turn off siren before they get there.
Yes it is. If this is your first visit to DC, it will be a good choice since the major attraction tourist points are all in walking distance.
Yes - the "Foggy Bottom" area has to be one of the safest in DC. We were never concerned being out in the evening. The area is near GW University so there are always plenty of people on the street at all hours. Its a City though.... so there are the sites, sounds and people in distress that any city has.
Yes, a very good section of DC.
nice restaurants within walking distance.
not far from the Kennedy center.
plenty of taxi and uber.
Yes. You're just north of Georgetown University, and not far from Dupont Circle.
Yes, it's a good neighborhood. You are right by George Washington University hospital, so there is a decent amount of security in the area. I've stayed here twice and never felt unsafe, even at night. Just be aware of your surroundings, and you'll be fine.
