My daughter and I will be traveling from London to Paris via train. What is the best way to get to the hotel from the train station…….should we not take the train?
Taxi. Uber works but I am not sure about the reception Uber drivers are getting in Paris at the moment.
We took the train - I definitely recommend it. There is a queue for the taxis when you exit the station; you just line up with the other passengers, and as others have said, it's a short ride from there. The taxi driver was one of the few people in Paris we encountered who spoke very little English. If you don't speak French, have the address written down for the driver.
Taking the Eurostar is a great way to go. It will arrive at the Gare du Nord station which is a short taxi ride to the hotel of around 10 to 15 minutes depending on traffic. I did the opposite, ie took a taxi from the hotel to the station and the Eurostar to London and it was great not having the extra hassle of dealing with airports for a short trip.
