This was the first time on RC. The ship was excellent; the crew could not have been more professional and courteous. Room was spacious. Food overall was very good, especially the steaks. Some portions were small and tasteless. Very smokey and the music was very loud. 400 kids on board. Very big girls in bikinis with tattoos. Ice show was great.

The cabin did not have any power outlets around the bed to accommodate a cpap machine. We were brought an extention cord to plug the machine in, but the steward never came back to tape the cord down, as she said she would. The room was poorly arranged, the television had two ESPN channels, but no weather channels or other fun family entertainnment channels for us to use on our 4 days at sea. The ship orignally was supposed to dock at Halifax, but they changed to Sydney. We tried to cancel and rebook the trip, but were told that we would forfeit our completely paid trip. There was a lock of availablility of excursions; almost every excursion was completely booked more than a month before the cruise. I believe they should get more excursions for the guests, or carry less guest if they can't provide them with an adequate number of excursions. The food in main dining was disappointing. The prime rib was paper thin and hard to cut. They offered a turkey dinner which I choose having seen a turkey being carved for guests at lunch in the Windjammer. When I got my dinner, the turkey was a turkey roll, and it had a funky taste to it. We were constantly begging for butter for our rolls, always needed to remind the waitstaff to bring lemon for the water (you would think that after 8 days on the ship, they would have known it was something that was wanted every evening) This was our 6th or 7th cruise overrall, and not our first with Royal Caribbean. They are short on help, like every other American Industry. The quality of the food was not up to standards, and the shore excurisons and ports were lacking. Since we had to get a Covid test withing 48 hours of getting on the ship (another $300 expense), and had to be at least double vaccinated to get into Canada, imagine how I felt when I came home to test positive for Covid the morning after getting off the ship. I've been vaccinated 4 times, BTW. It makes me wonder if the staff had to go through the same COViD standards that we did. My suggestion would be to wait a couple of years before crusing again. The staffing and food issues might resolve by then. This vacation was a waste of our time and money.

When we took the cruise, some of the covid protocols were just relaxed. The masking in public spaces had become optional. However, it was nice to see that many people still adhered to the protocols. The ship is showing a bit of aging. I wish they had a bit more variety in the main dining rooms. The buffet was nice and it had more variety. It a was a short 5 day cruise but was a great value.

In 2017 I made a trip to Grand Bahama on the Adventure of the Islands cruise ship. This 4 day trip was very relaxing and full of fun activities. During my stay on the cruise ship before getting off at Grand Bahama me and my family dined in the restaurants, enjoyed the pools, slides, and the playroom on board. Those who were 18+ enjoyed the casino, bars and club on board as well. My favorite part about this trip was the abundance of activities. There was always something to do, but where I spent most of my time was the playroom. In this room you could play video games, board games, dance, and listen to music. This trip was truly a stress reliever and I still think about it years later.

It is with sad feeling I must write this feed back so Royal Caribbean can wake up . Balcony Cabin , furniture worn out , decor is ancient, bathroom as an MRI machine 😳. Food Disgusting on all level ,very low quality lack of taste and presentation, poor breakfast buffet with cold rubbery corrossnt and few rolls no pastries or good bread products. Lines is a trademark for every meal. Worest I had ever seen, long lines for breakfast, and dinner and an ice cream machine. Service and worker are have a good vibe and work hard . I am Royal Caribbean coustmor for years , what I saw on this 5 days trips is very disappointing and disgrace to big company like this one . Sad day for me .
