Pro’s- the balcony room was really nice, clean and large and the staff was very friendly. Con’s- they canceled several shows. The only one not canceled was a horrible comedy act. In the first 3 sentences his language was so offensive and his jokes so lewd that we had to walk out. There should have been more warning. We were expecting a few things here and there, but this was ridiculous. I’m from New York, it’s not like we don’t hear offensive language all the time, but this was beyond the normal. Literally in the first 3 sentences, he used the F word 10 times, with other colorful words mixed in and made several sexual references… within 2 minutes! Since other shows were canceled, they should have asked him to clean up his language a bit so that more people could watch it. Another Con- despite what other reviews say, it absolutely felt like you were around 6,000 people the whole time. For some, this might not be a problem, but, we didn’t care for it. We have cruised many times and enjoy having a nice dinner, watching a good show and relaxing in a lounge with live music each evening. If that is the kind of cruise you like, this ship is not for you. They only had 3 shows. The ice skating one, which was really good. Cats- also very talented performers but only had one evening showing and that was at 9:00 on Friday. And the horrible comedy, mentioned above. Since we couldn’t watch shows, we tried the hot tubs. But they had half of them closed at all times for “cleaning” so that left the 5,000 people all trying to share a few small ones which obviously was not so great. And don’t even get me started on the fact that a whole half of the ship was dedicated for smoking. Overall- I would definitely never do another cruise on this ship… and doubtful will do another royal Caribbean again

Oasis is a beautiful ship. Royal is known for a higher class cuisine and cleanliness. The service we had was above par. The specialty restaurants went above and beyond for our 3 and 11 year old. Coco cay was everything it was advertised at. The food was plentiful on the island as well as everywhere on the ship. The included restaurants were very accommodating also for our family.

Cruising is definitely not what it is used to be. A lot of cuts and eliminations. We had very bad experience in the Bayonne Port. They opened and closed our suitcases at least 3 times. Wear very rude to us, it was a shock, it never happened to us before. We had very nice balcony cabin overlooking the Boardwalk. They eliminated the beautiful Diamond Club, used to be a pleasure to spend time there. Currently they use former Comedy Club for Diamond club. It is small and crowded. They totally eliminated Lunch buffet in the main dining room during sea days. Selection of food in the main dining room for lunch is very limited. The dinner wait in the main dining room is very long (both to be seated and being served). My time dining is really a joke, since you have to wait about 40 minutes to be seated. Specialty restaurants are good as always, but they are overpriced, and they want you to pay additional tips, after you already paid about $90-$100 per person for the specialty restaurant and your cruise included pre-paid gratitude. Park Cafe is good, use it for lunch, they have nice sandwiches, salad, decent coffee and no lines. They also have very nice new Mexican restaurant on 15th floor (free). Solarium Bistro is good and free for dinner, they eliminated some dishes though (no more stuffed cabbage and stuffed peppers). They still have baklava (excellent) and lamb is good. We used main dining room 2 times for dinner on 2 formal nights. The food selection is better on formal nights, on the 2-nd formal night there was no escargot. Lobsters were nicely prepared though. Nice band is playing by the pool on the 15th floor. They did some renovations to the ship, and it shows. The ship looks and feels much newer. Jazz club is very pretty. Nice Boardwalk. Central Park is as always very well groomed. We did not like the very dark music hall, used to be so chic, with white carpet, not anymore. Boleros was nice and cheerful as always. Scooter bar was nice, and the piano player was good. They also have very good bartender in Scooter bar, he made the best mixed drinks on the ship. They completely changed the Parade on Promenade, and we loved it. Beautiful costumes and 2 beautiful ships (including pirate ship). That was really a pleasure to watch. Coco Cay is a real paradise. They made a really nice job with it. We loved it. Barbecue lunch was also very good. Bahamas is under construction now and was o.k. We used the beach by Margaritaville (free). Ice show was good (we had an issue with the personal there in Studio B, very rude). Also, performers were falling all the time and the ship was not shaking at all. We did not make it to the Aqua show (it was canceled 2 times on us). We saw a little from our balcony. It was good and all new. We went for breakfast to Johnny Rockets (it was just o.k.). Both coffee and orange juice did not taste good. Eggs and omelets were fine. High tier event was also disappointment. We thought we would be treated to the aqua performers. Forget it, there was just 1 performer walking on the rope. That is all. Drinks were limited (champagne and mimosas). No bloody marry or other drinks, like it used to be. By the way no free champagne on promenade or art sales. You really felt the cutbacks everywhere and it was depressing. Overall, it was an o.k. cruise.

First, great ship and entertainment. The caliber of performers brought in, from athletes to figure skaters to divers to many musical acts, does not disappoint. The stops are fine on the Bahama route. You get the convenience of sailing from a drivable terminal. There is poor organization starting with the terminal itself (a little conflicting info on what time boarding closes, and a long parking line), but mostly it's the on-ship communication that's not great for first-time cruisers or groups. The deck from which disembarking took place varies from port to port, and this info isn't announced in either the printed compass, or speaker/PA. This makes it very difficult to make plans to meet your party to disembark. With respect to everything else (show times, ports of call, towel exchange desk hours) -- half the info is in the app, the other half is printed on the daily sheet you get. You have to scour both places, or listen to the loud but distorted PA system, and you'd still be missing half of what's going on. Why the info can't be cross-posted to both places (app and paper), is beyond me. I've cruised on 4 different lines and I've cruised on Royal as well. But even I found it difficult to keep up, making wasteful trips around the ship. And when you're with a group, and not using cell phones like on land -- it just detracts from the relaxing experience when you're spending all your brain cells on logistics, you know? The first day dining was also dreadfully slow in getting the kitchen to bring everything out. It improved throughout the week, and the wait staff was profusely apologetic and wonderful. This is probably to be expected, but there are only a couple of pools, and they aren't large. There's really not much of an opportunity to actually use them, given the size of the ship and demand for its use, plus the pool games that interrupt swim time (and for some reason need to be broadcast over the entire deck-wide PA system, even if you're sitting nowhere near the game to see what's going on).

Boat is great. They have a rock and roll show each night the woman is awesome and opens then Joe Pesci comes on and sings and it just sucks. They guy was washed up 20 years ago. Go until she stops. He opens with Bill Joel or Elton John and is horrible. He should stick to the keyboards and guitar.
