What travellers are saying
- Wendy R2 contributionsAbsolutely loved it here, watched the dolphin show and the orca show, the bird show, loved the penguins as well. Loads of places to eat and plenty to see.Written 17 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- O WheatDerbyshire, UK2 contributionsWe had a fantastic time at Siam park! The longest queue time was 15 minutes, and most were less than 5 minutes. Despite arriving after 11:00, we managed to do every ride at least once, spend time relaxing by the wave pool, and go back to the rides we loved the most. I would definitely recommend going to Siam park this time of year when it isn’t too hot - just make sure to bring suitable footwear to go around the park in as the ground can get very hot.Written 17 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - groggery1London, UK321 contributionsWent up on the cable car, which was quick, efficient and provided great views. This is probably one of the few times in your trip to Tenerife that you will need a coat, and you will definitely need one. The cable car finishes 600m from the summit, but yo go to the top requires one of the few permits they distribute and you will need to plan in advance. There are some trails at the cable car stop, and some wonderful, rugged views to be had. A bit of a drive, but mostly through the beautiful national park, and seeing the traces of various eruptions is very interesting.Written 15 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Viv E6 contributionsVast national park, so much to explore. The landscape is like being on a different planet.
There’s a museum, cable car, a local bus runs through the day carrying you from one side to another (several km’s). Well worth spending a day or two visiting.Written 15 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Cleanliness of all enclosures were very good.
We were surprised that there were so many Guinea pigs.
They have opportunities for you to have a picture with the parrots and you get to feed the monkeys.Written 6 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Found the uploaded interactive map difficult to use, for example going back to the map after you’ve read the piece you require. Found it easier to take photographs and then look at the description later.
The information available it’s a very informative visit, with some very unusual specimens. Enjoyed reading the informative conservation work that in conjunction with work in Peru.Written 13 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Unfortunately, on one of the viewing platforms, the car doors were left unlocked and the cash from one of the passenger's handbags, which was left in the car, was missing. We discovered it immediately, because the car door was left open, but there was nothing we could do. Please be vigilant.Written 12 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Menno van BoxtelAmsterdam, The Netherlands17 contributionsVery nice hike, especially how the vegetation changed. - kirstyScotland, UK5 contributionsVisited here twice during our 7 night stay in puerto! You definitely get value for money. €5.50 per person & then €2.50 for a parasol. The drink is reasonably priced aswell. Full area is very clean & tidy. The pools are great & plenty of them. Can’t comment on the food as we didn’t eat but what we saw looked good enough.Written 18 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Laura TMiddlesbrough, UK7,002 contributionsThis is a lovely beach for swimming and sunbathing with soft sand and clear blue water. The top end of the beach is black sand which made for stunning photos with the blue sky, whereas the sand was more traditional golden yellow at the more touristy southern parts near all the (expensive) restaurants.
We were very surprised that all of the restaurants here are so pricey! We had a lovely meal at Acanto (reviewed separately) but there are many more food options (and a lot more varied choice too!) just a short walk up the coast at Fañabé Beach.
We arrived at Duque Beach lunchtime after a busy morning. We had an explore and lunch, before walking from the top of Duque Beach all the way along the coastal promenade to Fañabé Beach, which took maybe 30 minutes on a gentle stroll. A lovely walkway along the coast with wide flat paths so very pram/wheelchair accessible.
Highly recommend Altamira for smoothies / cocktails by the sea at the top end of the beach (reviewed separately).
We didn't stay to relax on the beach but it looked beautiful as we walked past; spacious so plenty of areas where it was not too crowded and soft sand / clear water. If we had had more time we would definitely have returned for a beach day.Written 6 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Something of geology, fluid dynamics, zoology, botany, entomology and history all in one trip with some amazing scenery and experiences. Mary our guide was highly articulate and knowledgeable. We have seen a lot of limestone caves before, this was the first lava tube. Would really like to see more of the system particularly level one but understand why this needs to be protected and left to the professionals. Many thanks.Written 12 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Redkitewatcher64Andover, UK1,841 contributionsWe visited here as our friend was desperate to swim in the sea , but during the rest of the week the wind had been strong and many of the natural pools were closed and the beaches had red flag warnings.
This is a man made beach with lovely white sand , and as it has a breakwater the sea is protected and very calm. The sand goes a long way into the water and you have to walk a fair way to get into the sea , but made it perfect for kids so their were many families there. The facilities are great : a large car park a short walk away, toilets, showers , sunloungers and sun beds all along the beach and a wide selection of cabins offering a large choice of drinks and snacks. Lovely views from the beach inland towards the hills. As it was Feb the water was a bit cold but one of our party did brave a swimWritten 3 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
