Beautiful place to visit, but you are not alone, since touringcars also make it a stop.
The graves and the sea in the background make it a perfect picture

From here you can have a nice view of the beach and the open sea, and also the town's cemetery. Only for this view, it worth the walk.
The small church has not too much to see, but it is a different one and also, if you have the opportunity, I would put a step in it, when quiet, it can be very relaxing.

One of the most wonderful gardens we have visited in a long time. Man made from fields in 1990 this garden has to be seen to be believed. There are so many magical plants and sculptures dotted around that you’ll be treated to a visual feast wherever you look.

Worth taking a couple of hours to wander around and if open, the little shop sells wonderful gifts and also a small selection of snacks and drinks.

Last but certainly not least is the owner Beltran and his lovely wife who have taken this project on in the last few years. They have clearly thought long and hard about how to make the experience of visiting this lovely location a real pleasure.

Would highly recommend anyone visiting Luarca to take some time to visit these gardens. A truly magical experience.

Beautiful large historic houses built with the money made in South America by Spanish migrants returning home (Indianos). One of them Villa Argentina is a lovely hotel, another one Villa Carmen used to belong to local Nobel prize winner Severo Ochoa. Lovely walk in the upper part of Luarca. There is a bar/restaurant in the area too.
