Such a beautiful old town, in the heart of the tuscany region, it is a pleasure to walk in centre, full of restaurants, Coffee shops, sourvenirs and more.

We stayed at Guardastelle for a week to attend our son's wedding and were completely blown away with the love and attention to detail that Fausto, Suzanna and their team put into our stay and making the wedding so special.
We had stayed at Guardastelle 2yrs earlier for a short break and were thrilled to find that our memories were not wrong and that the standard of the accommodation, gardens, pool and wonderful breakfasts were just as good (if not better), not to mention the fabulous views of the Tuscan countryside.
Some of the ladies also enjoyed an afternoon of wine tasting which was fun and accompanied by lovely local produce.
We plan to return to this beautiful place soon and suggested we could accompany our son and daughter -in law each year to celebrate their wedding anniversary - but not sure they would appreciate this !!!

Such an excellent place! I was here with my group of tourists and we had the most amazing experience. The host Mira was so charming and friendly. She hosted a very successful eine tasting for our group. They have excellent wines, olive oils, balsamico and all these were served with delicious Tuscan salami, cheeses and bread. I will be back for sure!

Wonderful wine tasting and very reasonably priced. We had a small group, less than 10, and had a vineyard tour and then sat for a very relaxed tasting. David served Tuscan bread with vineyard produced olive oil and wow, was that delicious (add the salt to explode the flavor). With each wine taste, he kept bringing out more food, ending with cheese. The views were amazing and this is the thing we talk about most with people when we tell them about our Italy trip and Tuscany. Very memorable tasting.

We spent 4 nights in May in San Gimignano and our hotel was located in the Piazza della Cisterna. It is a beautiful, medieval square, which now has a few bar/restaurant/wine bars and a few ice cream shops. It was lovely to have a drink or snack at any of the terrace bars, especially in the evening. Be sure to try the ice cream at Dondoli!!

Climbing all those stairs was really worth it, and a bit fun, since they never seemed to end. The views are impressive. A no go if you have heart issues, but otherwise it's a must-see if you are visiting the city. The museum is also very interesting.

Having spent lots of time in San Gimignano we have wonderedwhat it would have looked like when it had its original number of towers. Here is the answer... a superb clay model 'village' that fills a large room. Fascinating.

Breathtaking views of San Gim & the neighbouring rolling tuscan hills. A must see in San Gimignano!

This is our second time in Sam Gimignano, but our first time touring the Duomo. The interior frescos were beautiful and it is worth the time to visit.

Lovely example of a San Gimignano house to explore that is beautifully presented. Unfortunately you can’t climb the tower but there is a very interesting video with English translation that tells you all about the town’s history and is a great introduction.

The small square is right outside the main church. It’s was around 515pm when I got there and everything seemed to have closed at 5. It’s r pretty cool how old everything is.
