Quick stop passing by to kill time while we waited for our lunch booking. Nice museum and loads of facts the tour guide told us. Only thing with it, was that there was no English signs so I couldn’t read it. So basically got all the information from our tour guide. Even I wanted to go off alone and look couldn’t know what the fact was about. That’s the only downside to the museum.

Absolutely beautiful little town. Wonderful to walk around with so much to see - gorgeous views, beautiful houses, and each church is amazing in its own way - worth visiting them all. Wonderful - we’ll worth stopping at.

The pictures offered in reviews don’t do justice as to how stunning this chapel is. The original colors and designs remain bright and vibrant years after being originally painted. Even for those who aren’t religious or interested in the meaning behind the paintings and sculptures, this chapel is gorgeous and well worth the visit.

This mountain road features dozens of hard switchback turns, coming and going, between the Ligurian coast of Italy (Italian Riviera or Riviera del Fiore) and the Piedmont plateau (near Cuneo). The scenery is beautiful, although a bit difficult to enjoy if you are the one doing the driving! Popular also with motorcyclists, bicyclists (this route is used in mountain bike races), and hikers. Beware of closures in the winter, and for road construction in summer. It seemed to have suffered some damage near the summit on the Ligurian side when we went through and there were single-lane closures at places. The long tunnel near the summit is really a scary thing - once open to unrestricted two-way traffic! There is a scenic train ride through here (Nice-Breil-Cuneo, or Ventimiglia-Breil-Cuneo) that is quite breathtaking. This is one of the oldest, most historic routes from the coast to Italy's northern interior, dating back to the Phoenicians and Romans.

This small museum is 100% worth the visit, even if you’re not a history nerd as I am. The Italian Army bunker has been painstakingly restored to the finest details by the volunteers of the ASVA association.

You will experience what army life was really like, with a surprising @time capsule” effect. The guided tours are compulsory but nice and short - our guide, the young Lorenzo, was passionate and clear.

Guided tours are available in French, Italian and (provably) English.

At the very beginning of the path, there's a warning sign, "No under 12 allowed on Via Ferrata". Only by looking at it from the bottom, I was filled with awe. Such a restriction seemed even too generous, considering the verticality of the trail, the swingbridge from top to top, the extreme care required on very tricky passages. Nevertheless, it must be an unparalleled experience, if only you are full of enthusiasm and youthful energy!

Just near the Monument aux Morts and the weekly market, this little church is very sweet. Behind the altar, instead of a wall there is a full window, with a view out over the beautiful mountains – stunning. Side chapels and walls are decorated with paintings in something like a naïf style, and incorporate local costumes, scenes and activities. Worth a quick visit
