A must, when you are here. Absolutely beautiful. Small in size, but gives you an idea of how colorful it must’ve been when it was originally built.

We have a couple of hours to spend in the city so we book a visit to one of the first public libraries in Italy in 1466! We were not aware that for just 3 Euro a guide, extremely informed and comunicative, was ready to open for us books 1000 to 600 years old leather books with golden elements! Stunning. Book the visit on the phone! The miniaturized single page Divina Commedia is in fact a copy. The original is in Villa Russiz, close to Cormons. Enjoy.

E bikes in San Daniele ! A brilliant idea as there are so many lovely places to visit and so many good cycle routes. But often there are steep hills and with these excellent bikes, they are no problem. We enjoyed a great run to Venzone , at times on the Alpe-Adria Weg, and back on the other side of the Tagliamento. Allessandro was a great guide.I hope this keeps going - it needs support!

Looks interesting but could not enter when we arrived as it had closed. Try to be there early. Easy parking and hassle free

This was a nice little church with some remnants of medieval decor inside. It was closed the afternoon that Chantal, our hostess at the Palazzo Masetti de Concina, took our family past it on a walk. I passed a few days later on my own and noticed that it was open, so went in. Small but worthwhile.

Worth a look if open (the bird fresco is particularly interesting).

Only open on special occasions, the house is nevertheless picturesque on the outside. I walked by it daily to buy pastries, wine and other goodies in the center of San Daniele, and always paused to admire the structure, or take a few more photographs.

The tower and portal is a look into medieval castle architecture designed by Andrea Palladio an influential individual in the history of architecture from the Most Serene Republic of Venice.
