- rbrechSilver Spring, MD520 contributionsLovely old temple in downtown Lamphun. Old stupa and temple complex. Enjoyed my time spent walking the grounds - though I would not make a special trip to visit.Written 26 October 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - yousafzai67Lahore, Pakistan1,124 contributionsThis temple is situated on a small hill in Lamphun. Monk Khruba Sriwichai Monument is visible from quite some distance on the highway. Since this place a non tourist place, it’s very quite and peaceful. The statue is huge A couple of honey bee’s hives always stay on it. In some reviews it is mentioned that it is Buddha however it is built to honour the Engineer Or Developer Monk. There is quite some history inside the temple with good illustrative pictures.Written 20 September 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Peter JChiang Mai, Thailand280 contributionsThis temple is in a residential area. Its very quiet and worth spending an hour or two. There are interesting stupa and chedis to see. There is a large fish pond with some very large catfish. You can buy some fish snacks and watch the frenzy.Written 10 December 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Augie MarchSydney, Australia270 contributionsVisiting small provincial museums like demonstrate a respect for the local people, their history & culture. Be aware that establishing & running a museum is a costly exercise & small Thai communities operate on a small budget. Nevertheless, this is a fine museum that tells the story of Hariphunchai since prehistoric times. Many of displays have lengthy English explanations. ( I do get annoyed at those who expect English to be everywhere again translation is very expensive)
Overall a quality display.Written 30 June 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
