What travellers are saying
- Flyer293625564321 contributionThe yacht was clean (as in spotless).
The yacht was spacious (eight berths and two heads).
The instructor was knowledgeable, patient, and good-humoured.
The solent is an excellent place to learn. It is sheltered so you can enjoy the wind without having to deal with big waves.
There are hazards to improve your navigation skills and at the end of the day's sailing there are plenty of places to moor where you can get good food and drink.Written 12 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. He joined in the fun but was unobtrusive.
Having a bbq cooked on the diving platform was a first.

Haven't had as good and adrenaline filled day in ages. First of all - lovely country ride down to Hamble Le Rice - Marina. Superb Breakfast at "The Ketch" in the Boatyard Courtyard - really good food and a relaxed briefing from Ian. All the gear is included (it's all the latest stuff) and then down to the docks for a final briefing and out!
What a day - super speeds over to IOW - lots of landmarks and useful info - Out to Newtown Reserve to Seal Spot! Saw 2-3. Then jet fast along to the Needles - a wild ride. Back to Yarmouth - scrummy lunch again - hour passed quickly. Then jetted off to see Cowes, Osbourne House and back to Hamble for a Swim before a quick sprint home. Ian makes the trip - First class day - would do it again tomorrow!!!!Written 2 August 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
