Was great in November, will be madness in summer - probably hard to park.
Drive to the eastern side of the beach and park in the side streets for free.

I recommend to park at the Coco bar where you can find a refreshment during a day.
We drove here and paid just a few Euros to park the car for half a day just on the beach.

For nature lovers the Riserva Naturale is fantastique, wonderful views in the mountains, also to the sea, many gorges, like canyon; you must have good footingshoes, water, and your phone.
I'd suggest planning to spend a whole day in the park, and definitely bring shoes for the trekking, lunch, and a lot of water.
Lido Arenella Syracuse, Italy 7.5 km away

Very reasonable to park (in the shade) for 2 Euro, and 10 Euro each for sunbeds and umbrella.
