It's good that they kept a couple of such trams that attract tourists and take them to the past. It is bad that the city authorities do not find funds for the restoration of trams as cultural heritage sites...

I was very impressed to see that sacred site of karaite, 200 people unique nation. It was amazing to learn that Turks took 330 or so words from karaite language during Ataturk time. Karaites are Jews speaking Turkic language.

This is obviously the most beautiful building in the city.
Me and my wife visited it in the middle of April. There was some Mass inside, people prayed and took communion so I decided not to take pictures and disrupt the piousness.
It was quite sumptuous inside - a rich chandelier, brand new murals, icons in opulent rizas, posh vestments of the clergy.
The cathedral is nicely illuminated by night and looks even better then.

As you see it is also possible to visit Numan Çelebicihan's tomb in the mosque area. (Numan Çelebicihan is the first president of the independent Crimean People's Republic, writer of the Crimean Tatar National Anthem)

    Yes, they are!
I visited them together with my wife in the middle of April. It’s a low season in Yevpatoria, they stood right in front of our hotel, so it was not a problem to explore the construction further without crowds.
There’s an ethnic cafe and a small but nice museum inside but these wood bazaar gates (translation from Turkish) were really rebuilt in 2007. Works were financed by rich Crimean tatars when the peninsula belonged to Ukraine.
    Still, recommended.

Everything you need for a good walk is available on Gorky... fresh air, surf noise, screaming gulls and many cafes where you can sit and relax...

Like nowhere else on earth. With the Russian ruble being at bargain prices you can have a five star holiday for three star prices. People are warm and friendly and we never felt anything but utterly safe. It was a bit like visiting family. So, even though Ukraine, next door, is going down fast, Crimea is stable and coming up even faster.
Voting to go back to Russia was the best thing Crimeans could have done and they so totally know it.

As the city is over 2500 years old it has had a diversified history with influences from many sectors. famous for its climate , local curative muds and waters and historical healthcare values. The museum offers good context to understand the current and future value of the city

They lived there for centuries though nowadays they constitute less than one per cent of Yevpatoria inhabitants.
Me and my wife visited this street in the middle of April. It was a low season and a weekday, so it was rather desolate and just a couple of stalls were open. We, nevertheless, had a good time, drank great coffee and bought some memorabilia there.
It's better to come there in May or September, on a weekend. It's not that hot then plus city authorities organize various cultural open-air events there.
    Recommended.

The memorial is dedicated to Soviet marine commandos fallen during 1942 Yevpatoria assault.
I visited it together with my wife in the middle of April though I remember it since my young pioneer past (I was thirteen when it was opened). The monument stands on the place where Soviet mine-sweeper Vzryvatel' (Fuze), having disembarked troops ashore, was caught in the crossfire of Nazi artillery and aviation, lost steerability and finally stranded. Germans pulled their cannons to the ship and destroyed her at practically point-blank range. Most of the crew was killed, nineteen wounded sailors were captured.
The ruined sweeper rusted on the beach for five years, being broken for scrap in 1947 only.
As to the monument, we marked that there were wreaths at the plinth and in general everything around was very tidy and well-kept.
Recommended. You'll feel with your skin that marines virtually fly forward.

You will find very careful selection of local wine and a good advise. Wine and brandy testing is possible for extra charge.

I visited this place together with my wife in the middle of April, i.e., in low season. Tourists were virtually missing so we had great time walking around the Old City at ease.
The quarter is refurbished to an extent but still looks somewhat drab, even if it is supposed to make an impression of oldness. Most streets are not paved, houses obviously need maintenance, stray cats and dogs are kings and queens.
Still, there's some clear-cut medieval allure reigning there. A mosque, a synagogue, a Christian orthodox cathedral, Karaite Kenassas, an Armenian church, a small Dervish tekie monastery, Turkish baths, etc. create an intricate multicultural mosaic which puts some kind of a spell on you. Ethnic cafes, stalls selling local artisanal products and murals complete the ambience.
Recommended! Try to visit it some time in May or September, however, since the frying heat is off and hordes of tourists are gone then.
