- ChrisM9 contributionsQuite disappointing. Pick up on time, pleasant trip to the boat by car for an hours journey. However, on arrival at the long tail boat there were no facilities whatsoever. This resulted in a further car journey to the nearest toilet prior to boarding the boat. Snorkeling stop good. Pig Island was very busy and if you are slightly unsteady on your feet/legs you will struggle to get off the boat as no quayside and small ladder only. Command of the English language non existent from our guides. He did not have to do that since the terms did not require it. Starting the visit to Angthong by a kayak tour was great fun and a different way to see the islands! The Marine Park is very beautiful and definitely worth the visit. It’s a steep hike to the view point but worth it for the views. Not an easy walk to do in flip flops! - Meagan4 contributionsWe had an enjoyable day on this tour. My husband and I were impressed by the boat, the crew and the gorgeous views we were exposed to for this trip. Lunch was provided and delicious, catered to food allergies if needed. We got some excellent photos and enjoyed the snorkeling, swings on Koh Tan and the warm, blue water of Madsum. We were picked up and dropped off from our hotel. From the minute I booked this on Viator, Tony got in touch almost immediately and was constantly in touch to arrange the pick up from our resort and take us to the pier. The trip took us to three fabulous islands and the snorkeling spot was brilliant. - Matthew OChichester, UK6 contributionsHaving looked at a few other boat trips from Ko Samui, we settled on this one.
Whilst it was the largest group of people I’ve been with on a boat trip (circa 60); we were divided into two groups and boarded 2 speedboats after a very seamless welcome/check-in on the pier.
You won’t see a much of a view out of the boats unless you’re at the back or you stand up but if you enjoy very fast boat rides - definitely worth paying the extra for it, as you get to the first stop in Marine Park in under an hour and they’ll take you on a close up tour as you enter the park!
The day was set at a nice pace with some stunning scenery: snorkelling; kayaking (or simply lie on the beach!); emerald lake (steep steps but a great view from the top); water/fresh fruit; lunch (at a large restaurant on an island); final beach stop and then back to Ko Samui by around 5.
The staff/tour guides were great with their amusing commentary, banter and were very helpful with getting on and off the boat!

The long-tail boat to pig island was interesting. Needless to say its very bumpy and you literally get soaked so yes take a change of clothes in a plastic bag. Pig island was as advertised. We got there before too many other boats and it was ok. Lots of pigs of all sizes that you can feed and have pictures with. Snorkeling was good, so many lovely small fish but we noticed that people were standing on the coral which is sad as that will destroy it. Kayaking and lunch was lovely. - Cruiser618631Palm Desert, CA2 contributionsThe crew were great...BUT, the boat was way too packed, at the maximum legal capacity, and was not comfortable at all. Especially when it rained, as it does here, and the people that were in the bow/open seats were on the floor, etc. I booked a "small boat" at double the price, to NOT have this experience. I met some great people and it was beautiful scenery, but the boat and lunch were not so great. Also, if you would like to enjoy a cold beer on the beach, bring it. A family was taken by the current and the mother on the boat was crying because she was scared, but the guid only shouted that it was not her responsibility and that she said not to swim there. They did not know how to swim and was wearing life jackets. Even when the mother was crying she just shouted that it was their fault. When we tried to ask questions but she knew very little English so she just walked away. She was angry, did not listen to customers and shouted unnecessarily much.
