There is a nice little café just beside it, and relaxing outside with a coffee (or a beer), with the fountain to one side and a view over the Piazza and facing the Cathedral is a perfect way to relax.
Ican imagine that water is quite scarce on Sicily so this fountain is quite special architecturaly beautiful and so near to places to sit and enjoy the view

The way that this site has been recovered and preserved is amazing especially when you consider when it was done around 1903 and the eruption from Etna that had occurred.
