- Lorna A1 contributionBooked the distillery for my daughter’s baby shower and cannot thank them enough for a wonderful celebration venue.
We had the restaurant to ourselves. It was warm (on a cold Scottish afternoon) and welcoming. The staff were friendly, very accommodating and patient and the food, we had afternoon tea, was delicious.
Everything was home made, from sandwiches, soup and mini savouries to the fabulous cakes and delicious mini lemon posset.
Staff even went out of their way to help take photographs.

- Ian B23 contributionsA quick visit on the spur of the moment, we didn't even know the place existed before we stayed in Annan. Very accommodating in the shop, they produce a massive range of spirits (gins, rums and vodkas) and liqueurs made by them on site - really fits their strapline: "Eccentric artisans". The shop also sells goods from around the UK that fit with their own image: artisan-produced and maybe a little bit eccentric. I think it'd prove impossible to visit without someone buying something.
I don't believe there's a formal distillery tour, but we were told that if time permitted, the distiller would pop out and have a chat. However, the noises heard from the distillery suggested someone was in full creative flight at the time we visited.
Anyway, a great find for a short vist. Duncan and the team couldn't have been more helpful especially with the intricacies of putting on the kilt outfit !!!
Wish all suppliers were as attentive as this !

We stopped by The Shed to have a drink and were welcomed very warmly by the friendly barman (apologies I can't remember his name). We were pleasantly surprised at the cheap price of the drinks. Had a lovely chat with the barman who is very good at multi-tasking serving others and having a chat with us. After a bit of sightseeing we decided to head back for a meal as we had felt very at ease there. The barman was again very hospitable and so were the other customers, we were helped with doors when our hands were full with drinks. Food was abolsutely delicious with nice sized portions and good quality ingrediants.
Beer garden was clean, tidy and reasonably accesible with I think a couple of small step from the pub, but there was direct access from the carpark. There was also a little area for dogs to have a drink which was clean too. The bathroom facilities were well maintained, which I think always says a lot about a place. Over all the pictures you see on their website are an accurate representation of the pub.
