I visited to test prototype lures with my friends. May is usually good weather for fishing, but unfortunately, we had limited places to go due to the bad luck with wind and rain. However, we could trust the captain to find the best possible spots in those conditions. As a result, we were able to encounter many GT fish every day. It would have been even better if it was closer to Japan...

Prior to departing on a cruise to Papua New Guinea we searched trip adivsor for suitable tours from Alotau and decided on Alotau Land Tours due to the exceptional review. We were not dissapointed.
Contacted Cathy by email to book a tour and Cathy promptly replied with all of the information about the tour etc. So easy.
Before the cruise left Brisbane there was a change of arrival date at Alotau and while we were on the cruise there was further change to the date we were to arrive. .It was no problem to change the date.
We were met at the wharf by a beaming Wilma as promised. Wilma was a great tour guide, knowledgeable and very friendly and nothing was a problem.
The tour was not hurried and gave us a great insight into the general life in Alotau.
Started off visiting the hospital which was quite an eye opener. Then off to the markets where locals were selling their fruit, vege and fish.
Next was the school where we were greeted by the children. Everything was basic with not power or windows They didnt have much time to prepare for us due to the last minute change in our ports of call but they gave us a memorable greeting. Cathy had sent us some suggestions of thinks that we might like to bring for the school so we had brought 2 big bags of school supplies which were greatfully received.
Then off to a hilltop village. Had to walk up a track and over a stream where locals were washing their cloths to get to the village. A great experience .
Lastly off to another small village where we given a presentation on how they make cloth out of the bark of trees.
Overall it was an excellent tour which exceeded our expectations.
Many thanks to Wilma, the driver and her helper.

We were met at the cruise terminal by our friendly local hosts with shade, cold water and a chair to wait. It was an extremely hot day, but our guides tried to make us as comfortable as possible.
We went to our guides village and were taken through the lifestyle of the villagers.
We were so warmly welcomed everywhere we went, and I could not recommend this experience enough .

We originally had a snorkeling and canoe trip booked with them. But the weather was not cooperating so I asked if we could adjust to the conditions on that day our cruise was there. Liam was very accommodating and a great communicator throughout. It turned out that the weather wasn’t that bad so we were able to go to a local village for a taste of culture, then on a wonderful hike through the mountains to a secluded beach for a snorkel. The coral was great! We came back for lunch and then they took us for a brief stop at the eastern most point of the island.
You do need to be prepared for basic transportation - there are no 40 passenger buses on the island. But we didn’t mind.
We were extremely happy with the staff and people. They are adaptable and easy to work with. Had a great time! They seem happy and able to put together a tour to anyone’s liking.

Tawali is one of the best destination in Papua New Guinea. It offers many activities like skullcave and waterfalls, snorkelling, cultural experience etc. The pool is also nice to spend time reading your favorite books and take a dip after snorkelling in the house reef.

Excellent condition 175hp 26fter speed boat, experienced and helpful crew. Pickup from main town Alotau at Waterfront Lodge jetty for an amazing 4 hour trip through the China Strait stopping over scenic, untouched beautiful white sandy islands in the Milne Bay Province. A must tour if you plan to visit this part of the world. Thank you Alpha Blue!
