As there are so many wineries to choose from in the Chianti region, I chose this originally because I knew my husband would enjoy the castle tour and the historical aspects related to it.
Our family did the Classic Tour in the morning which involved a great history tour of the Castle, followed by a tour of the winery and ended with a private wine tasting session.

A friend recommended several wineries in Chianti (big names like Ama and Brolio), but my wife and I just stumbled on Casalvento when visiting Radda.
Her tour had given us a comprehensive glimpse into the fascinating world of winemaking but I most enjoyed listening to the inspirational story of how she and Bob had come to own a Tuscan winery.
