- NikJAscot, UK922 contributionsFree parking At the bottom of the cable car, ride up takes 10 to 15 minutes… And at the top there is a gorgeous view of the village of the church various bars.
Went to a number of the vista points that give you great views of the mountains and valleys.
Stopped for a drink at one of the bars and had an apple strudel.Written 5 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Once you get there, it is quite crowdy close to the restaurant, but when I was there, it was not crowdy in the lake itself. It is amazing that you can swim there, which I of course did,as the water that day was just perfect! Except of a few SUPs in a distance,I felt I have the Lake for myself when swimming!:) If you are into bikes and into swimming as well, then do not hesitate to visit if you have some free time!Written 21 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Peter POberdrauburg, Austria6 contributionsGreat tour - was elected bicycle-path of the year by a dutch cyclist-journal in 2018 or so. In Italy great parts on the tracks of an abandoned railway.
Usually done from Salzburg to Grado. (Do not underestimate the part from Villach to Tarvisio! 300m of ascent.)
Transport ist provided @ the steep part from St. Johann to Bad Gastein.
What is disturbing is that sometimes the signs are scarce and one lands in the pampas....

Bring a towel so that they can play at the water's edge in warm weather. Tip: really take the route from the parking spot down at the sign instead of the other way around. the way back is much easier to do and you have the steepest part down than at the startWritten 5 August 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Hendrik_NLVlaardingen, The Netherlands7,913 contributionsI hope you find time, when in Tarvisio, to step into this little church, and enjoy some peace and quiet, after the Tarvisio Market and strolling along the shops and cafes on the main street, the Via Roma. It is a modest church, but nicely appointed. See the pictures I added to this review.Written 17 June 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
