Beautiful and calm place to explore walking… you can take your picnic with you to this place since around the lakes there are some benches to seat and enjoy the scenery. You l can drive or you can take a bus but not sure how often is the bus. Sofa are allow…The parking cost €5 for all day.
There are 2 lakes you can walk from one to the other lake. There are some restaurants around the lake to eat and rest. They have portable toilets if you are in need.
L there is a mini market around the car park some people sell honey, salami, cheese etc

Free parking At the bottom of the cable car, ride up takes 10 to 15 minutes… And at the top there is a gorgeous view of the village of the church various bars.
Went to a number of the vista points that give you great views of the mountains and valleys.
Stopped for a drink at one of the bars and had an apple strudel.

This lake is not hard to reach , but once you get there you are rewarded! The water is very clear and the mountains surrounding the place are impressive!

ok, this has to be one of the nicest hikes i've done lately. great to do with kids. Bring a towel so that they can play at the water's edge in warm weather. Tip: really take the route from the parking spot down at the sign instead of the other way around. the way back is much easier to do and you have the steepest part down than at the start

Great tour - was elected bicycle-path of the year by a dutch cyclist-journal in 2018 or so. In Italy great parts on the tracks of an abandoned railway.
Usually done from Salzburg to Grado. (Do not underestimate the part from Villach to Tarvisio! 300m of ascent.)
Transport ist provided @ the steep part from St. Johann to Bad Gastein.
What is disturbing is that sometimes the signs are scarce and one lands in the pampas....
    Enjoy!

I hope you find time, when in Tarvisio, to step into this little church, and enjoy some peace and quiet, after the Tarvisio Market and strolling along the shops and cafes on the main street, the Via Roma. It is a modest church, but nicely appointed. See the pictures I added to this review.

We did this trip from MT lussari, with childrens of 3 and 6 took around of hour the way till the end of Forest, at an elevation of ~1700. From here I continued only with son of 6 year old (but well experienced in climbing) another hour up to elevation of ~2000 meter. It is not an easy terrain, don't do it if you are not some experienced into high mountains. Be sure about you have necessary clothes and bots, enough water. It is a very nice route. Calculate 3 hours to and back lussari if going back same Way, but there is also a longer circle route of around 6 hours.
