One of the most beautiful and perfect beaches on Zanzibar and in my opinion top 10 in the world.

The water or crystal clear and the temperature is perfect. The only negative is the hawkers trying to sell you something every 2 minutes min stop.

We visited it after our snoreilling with Dolphins. A little marine aquarium has many sea turtles in there.

Quite a unique experience as you can see turtles upclose and feed them. But watch out if you decide to swim with them, they bite and can leave a bloody mark on you. Even if they dont bite intentionally, mostly if their food gets close to your body, then they may bite you. Unfortunately the staff there pretended like it never happened and it is totally safe to go to the pool to swim with turtles, however, it happened twice during like 15 minutes stay.

A hidden gem. The guide was knowledgeable, and the caves were interesting. You may want to wear hiking boots because it can be slippery. It's amazing how hot the second cave was.

Had the most amazing experience!! Did the 2 hour ride to the sandbank at Nungwi. Staff was very friendly, horses look very good and were easy to ride. Saddle, helmet, shoes.. all were in good condition. Such a beautiful ride and they made some pretty pictures and videos. Asante sana!

Selling the usual prints and designs that vendors will try and sell you on the beach. Honestly nothing new or exceptional about it, if not that it is sheltered in case of rain. Not quite the sort of "gallery" you'd expect. Still one of the nicest huts in Nungwi village though.

The place is small, but cute. The guide told us that this « aquarium » is connected to the ocean and the experience is indeed unique and interesting. However, a few things to be aware of before visiting:

    1) On Google reviews we read that the entrance fee was $10 or 20,000 Shillings - that was like two / three weeks ago. When we went, they asked 25,000 Shillings and I told them that two weeks ago it was 20,000. They said that this variation depends on the dollar. Okay, we paid, but afterwards we thought this was a cheat, they should not vary the Shillings price based on the dollar rather there should be a fixed price. Pretty upsetting!

    2) The place can get crowded. Too many people at once for such a small spot.

    3) One of the guides was rude and kicked my boyfriend to get off his way because he was talking photos of another couple. Then, him and other guides threw very strongly the algae for the turtles at a lady. She wasn’t very happy. They were rude.

    4) The turtles can bite, can bite pretty hard. They may not be happy with the amount of people entering the pool. I think this should be controlled. They should allow a specific number of people at each time.

    4) They have a shower now, so that’s a plus.

    5) They can give masks if needed.

    Have a joyful experience :)
