For the USS Arizona Memorial $1 tickets, try to book at least a month prior. A limited release of tickets does happen the day prior to the visit at 3 PM (through website, not app) but is literally gone by 3:01 PM.

We had a party of 17 and the tours were entirely too expensive for taking a tour with a bus and guide. If you book a tour, you have to arrive with your tour bus.

Visiting the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center is FREE with $7 USD parking charge and we were able to put our names on a standby list. There is no estimated time and we waited 2 hours to get the notification.

Onsite museum range from $19 - $24 USD for Adults.

Only Clear bags are allowed in. Purses can’t be bigger than your phone.

That's my major impression after a full day at Pearl Harbor.
The USS Missouri couldn't be moored on a better, nor more meaningful place: 200 met from the USS Arizona memorial after which attack US entered WWII.
On Missouri, the unconditional surrender of Japan was signed in Tokyo bay on 2 Sep 1945, marking the end of WWII.
I suggest taking a free tour first, runs pretty often and takes around 30 min. After that you can explore the ship on your own - it's well signposted with many interesting things to see. Count on around 2 hours for a visit.
This isn't the biggest battleship I've visited, I've even been on Midway and Intrepid aircraft carriers, however this one has enormous historic and emotional importance marking the end of the bloodiest conflict in mankind history.
The only reason I deduct one star, rating 4 is a very steep price of 35$ pp.

Hanauma Bay is a must-visit for snorkelers and nature lovers. The bay's clear waters and vibrant coral reefs make for an unforgettable experience. Arrive early to secure parking and enjoy the pristine beauty of this marine sanctuary.

One of the world's most famous beaches, no question about that.
One of the most average beaches, also no questions about that.
But, movies, shows and tons of hotels around in a concrete jungle by the sea made it world famous.
It is a nice beach, but it's in fact a town beach, better say city beach.
On Oahu only, there're for sure 6-7 much better beaches. It's also not that big, so it gets very crowded.
We were in a hotel one block away, so we used it only for our morning swim and after that we explored the island in our rented car.

If you want an incredible view then this is it! The hike takes about 30 minutes up. It rocky, wet terrain up and isn’t for anyone who came walking well. The payout when you get there is breathtaking!

Family vacation to O’ahu and we had to see the beautiful view. The hike was easy since the path is paved. Highly recommend!

The Bowfin and Submarine Museum might not get as much notoriety as the Arizona and Missouri, but this spot shouldn’t be overlooked. The museum is well done and gives a completely different overview than other parts of the Pearl Harbor Memorial. Submarine warfare is a totally different beast than surface and air and these exhibits illustrate why.

Walking the top and underdecks of the Bowfin is simply amazing and gives a raw picture of what these boats are all about.

A couple tips.. The Bowfin itself is pretty tight space-wise and requires you to step through several elevated hatches. This can pose a challenge if you have young kids or are traveling with elderly folks with degraded mobility. For this reason, no strollers aboard and they don’t allow kids under 4. Also, recommend you take the time to walk through and learn from the pier-side museum exhibits prior to walking aboard the Bowfin. This way, what you see and absorb on the Bowfin will make a little more sense and enrich the experience, especially if you’re unfamiliar with submarines and/or naval history.

I visited Bishop Museum solo in August and it was an enriching experience that immersed me deeply in Hawaiian history and culture. Nestled in Honolulu, this museum stands out not only for its extensive collection but also for its captivating storytelling.. It was fascinating to learn how they used the stars to navigate the vast Pacific Ocean, underscoring their remarkable knowledge of astronomy and maritime prowess... For a moment I felt like Moana. Haha.. The museum caters to both casual visitors like mine and avid learners. It simply was perfect.

Came across this museum on one of walks and made a point of coming back to it. Spent a very informative hour in here. Very well laid out, with interesting artefacts and relevant descriptions. Add in that this was free to get into and it’s well worth a visit.

Tons of shops from Target to high end, very nice and huge mall to explore for hours if you like.
Not too far from Waikiki beach.

The selection of restaurants available is very good, parking is usually ample and reasonably priced with validation.

This is one of multiple great attractions the Pearl Harbor Memorial lineup has to offer and is definitely a must for those who have an affinity for aviation.

My two young kids love this place as it provides interactive learning, the shock value of large aircraft and a walkable indoor/outdoor set-up. The main museum has multiple aircraft, an intro film, pay-to-play flight simulators, a cafe and one of the better military gift shops on the island.

On the outside, don’t miss the many fighter jets, helicopters and support aircraft from multiple eras. You’ll even see a Navy Blue Angel and a Cold War era Russian MIG. Additionally, take some time to walk over to Hanger 79 to get a peak into how aviation relics are preserved and refurbished. On your way out, glance up at the glass windows to see bullet holes from Japanese Zeros (still there from the day of the attack), which is sobering.

A couple things to consider.. this museum is located on Ford Island as opposed to pier side near the Visitor Center and other attractions. This means that you’ll have to arrange for a shuttle transfer and escort at the Visitor Center or 3rd party tour package service (unless you have a U.S military/govt ID). Ford Island is a part of the active naval base so this is for security protocol. Also, there is a minor cost for museum tickets, but this money goes back into museum/aircraft maintenance and making this awesome place what it is (totally worth it)

Check it out and have fun!

Tons of vendors and they were all very kind! There were some vendors selling locally made things, but not as many as I had hoped.

We were pretty surprised with Waikiki beach, as we didn't expect such a big city right by one of world's most famous beaches. It literally feels like walking any major US big city, but by the sea.
There're tons of things to do - plenty of restaurants, bars, street performers, live music and happenings, it simply cannot be boring. Best to come at night, after the heat and when illuminated.

During our stay we've visited Diamond Head, Koko crater and this lookout.
By far, this lookout is the absolute best one on Oahu as you have unobstructed views of almost entire southern shore including Diamond head, Waikiki, Honolulu, Pearl Harbor and further west.
Moreover, it's the easiest one to get to, as you will reach it in your car without any hike. Parking is free, we were only worried having heard about car burglary, however nothing happened and there was also a police car parked when we were there.
