If you are Catholic and here on a Sunday, this is a beautiful Cathedral with much history. We went to 1030 Mass and had an usher tell us about some of its history afterwards.

This authentic church has a welcoming vibe , the priest gives the best homilies packed with real life advice. Highly recommend ! Even our 13 year old son commented that he enjoys mass there ( not a comment I’ve ever heard from him in past !) , gets meaning from the heartfelt homily and especially likes the roosters crowing and hens cackling outside as they lay eggs - and likes that going barefoot is totally acceptable !

This is a oceanfront church East Honolulu. Amphitheater tiered seating wonderful !music, dance. The ocean side of the building is completely windows. Ceiling fans keep it cool. The people are friendly the children’s program is delightful. They have an open choir which means anyone who’s coming to visit can come to the church at 9 AM Sunday and rehearse with the choir before the 10 AM service. They have Saturday evening 630 service. And as 7:30 AM Sunday morning service as well

There is also moving meditation yoga classes singing classes all available for a donation to the food bank that’s on the property. There’s preschool as well

Open excepting congregation all are welcome. They have a welcoming statement in the bulletin and on their website that says it all.

The entrance is impressive, almost resort like. As soon as you step onto the grounds, you are approached by staff. Very friendly. They explain what this temple is to the Mormons, and they explain the rudimentary principles of their believe. This without trying to convert you. Just explaining, so you can understand.
When we were there, most, if not all of the staff was young, international, en female. Is that a coincidence, we wondered.

Stumbled across this whilst walking through the Hilton Hawaiian village and was a bit surprised to see a white Chapel on landscaped grounds.

I was an airline crew member and would fly to Honolulu frequently and stay at the Ala Moana Hotel. The church is very close to the hotel that I would go to church whenever there was mass and I was blessed! Wish I could visit the church again!

Awesome hike. We walked all the way from Waikiki beach and back. You don’t have walk that far. 10 miles. You can drive right up to it and just hike the nice mountain trail up to the top lookout and pill boxes. Fun.

Central Union Church (CUC) is a community of faith that recognizes you as a whole person - they treasure and embrace all. CUC has a very long history in Honolulu, but it is modern and forward thinking as it seeks new ways to discover, share and practice love for all as Jesus taught. The members we have met come from many places, many traditions, and have many stories. If you live in Hawai’i, or if your travels bring you here, give the people at CUC the opportunity to say, “E komo mai!” Because it has been our experience that no matter who you are, or where you are on your life’s journey, you are welcome.

I have been privileged to attend the local World AIDS Day commemoration at this lovely church for the past two years. It's held each December 1st and includes artistic hula offerings, song, music, and speakers.

The church was formed by students during the Vietnam War era, and continues to serve a diverse and loyal congregation.

If you can visit when you're in Honolulu, do. It's just down the hill from the main UH Campus.

    Aloha and Mahalo.

Although this is basically a pagoda, it has been styled to look much like a Hindu Temple. The Lama's here were very cordial to me as a tourist and escorted me to the various rooms and halls of the temple.

This place is singular in Hawaii: Novus Ordo Mass at 0700 Sunday, or, Latin Mass every Sunday at 1000, with confession and Rosary right before Mass (starting about 0900). Lots of regulars for both Masses, but also very easy to attend either Mass as a guest or tourist -- welcoming, down-to-earth people here. Thank you Fr. Nguyen for all your efforts serving the Lord and making Blessed Sacrament a remarkable parish!

I attended morning Mass here while visiting my auntie who lives in Manoa. This small church is very beautiful. It is easy to find. No service on Wednesdays.
