We visited temple square one evening while in town at a conference. Massive renovations. The temple is covered in scaffolding, and the visitor centers are gone. We did enjoy going in the tabernacle, the assembly hall and the conference center. We had nice views from the rooftop gardens at the conference center. Super nice young women missionaries hosting everywhere. I'm sure it'll be a couple of years yet before it's back to normal.

A thoughtful, immersive, spectacular experience for all ages - this is a worthwhile stop. Both the exterior and interior, architectural and experiential design lend themselves to a very easy, natural flow of visitors through this museum. Travel through time and vertical space along an ADA-accessible path, with well-placed, hands-on activities that span the senses (including smell)! I’ve visited twice, on both and off-peak day and in the thick of the cheese/chocolate festival (!), both alone and with a group of 12; each time, I was able to move through the exhibits without feeling rushed or crowded.

Hubby and I hiked here just recently in winter with several feet of snow as well as this past summer. Loved both times of the year! Many hikes ranging from easy to difficult but all are beautiful. Be sure to check on avalanche risk before you head out in the winter. Limited parking in winter. Highly recommend even if just a drive up the canyon and back to SLC.

Despite being 30 degrees outside, had a wonderful walkabout! Yes, there was snow covering a lot but the waterfall area was mostly thawed, but 2 ducks and 2 geese were hanging out! The gift shop is still one of the best around!

We stopped for the free noon organ concert.
As a kid, the only things we heard about Utah and the LDS church was the Tabernscle, the Choir and their weekly concerts. The acoustics are everything you have heard (no pun intended)...but pretty funny in retrospt).
There at plenty of seats so you can sit close and enjoy the concert.

Don't worry, it is not a "hard sell" for the church, there wasn't any proselytizing. The Temple square tour guides (all improbably good looking, polite, multilingual young women) direct you to the correct entrance door (the building has too many to count) and hand you a program, that's it.
No visit to Utah is complete with a stop here.

It is a walk uphill to visit the state capitol but worth it. It is a wonderful building both in winter and summer!
There are better view points around the city but just do a 360 and you are blessed with the city, the mountains and everything in between.

It's a lovely mall for the ladies. Lots of clothing stores & odds & ends. Mostly mid range to high end. Most of it is indoors which was good for the snowy weather that we were having. Ladies will spend more time here than men.

Every Sunday morning you can go and watch the Tabernacle Choir present " Music and The Spoken Word" live. It is for all faiths and is an inspiring performance.

Wish we had more time to go through it all, didn't realize it had so many exhibits. We did not have children with us which is too bad because this whole place it designed for kids enjoyment. We enjoyed watching another couple feed the lorikeets, which does cost a little extra.

Such a great activity and place for kids. My daughter had so much fun there. We learned a lot and discovered so many things. There is a small area with slides which she also enjoyed. I bought tickets for one of the movie shows (I asked the team what was most appropriate for a 2.5 years old). It was a cartoon in the dome, really cool although my daughter got scared so we had to leave after 15 min. I highly recommend visiting Clark. Its the perfect activity to keep kids entertained. One tip, bring a 25cts coin so you can buy a small ball for one of the activities. I don’t cary cash with me so I wish I had known in advance!

The building looks enormous and nicely done for a public library. There are vendors on the first floor selling gifts, books, plants and food. The garden rooftop overlooking the city and picturesque, though the plants need more watering. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience for me.

fun to people watch, walk, run, or just sit to watch the ducks. There are always people around, different tracks for your needs.
