the toughest part of the track is climbing out of the valley from the suspension bridge to hendes shelter. after that its not as much climbing.
the walk took us 1hr 40 up - with lots of photo stops, and not much less on the way down.

Take a torch and change of footwear or gumboots.

Great viewpoint but a shame (and shameful) that the glacier is retreating at such a fast pace. They also have a number of other activities that you can book. Good size souvenir shop and cafe. We grabbed a bagel, Nutella cheesecake, juice and coffee for breakfast prior to our tour. At the conclusion of the tour, we ordered a ham and cheese toastie and chicken wrap that we ate for lunch on the way back to Greymouth. Easy trail, no specific view till the end
You are on rain forest
Pleasant track, safe
You ll end up to the bridge
You should come back via the same way, you can try to follow the river bank
But be so careful, the water level can suddenly goes up
