- Peggy_CS1Shoreham, United Kingdom321 contributionsWe did a tour with east west tours and our guide Leroy was great !
Fabulous sights to see and a knowledgeable, friendly guide !
Recommend walking under the waterfall but prepare for wet such as good shoes and waterproof coats or poncho.
Good refreshments at this stop !Written 6 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. He is easy to understand and had answers for all the questions.
The caves were really interesting to see. We definitely recommend going here!Written 27 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We learned a lot about Icelandic horses and were able to watch others ride in the ring. Got to pet many horses and Max the dog. My older daughter loved it. A nice break from the long hikes and walking around the waterfalls.Written 8 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Flint P6 contributionsPhenomenal experience...there's no other way to experience the area, in my opinion. Minka was our guide and she was awesome. We did a three hour ride and it was perfect. We lucked out with great weather and couldn't imagine having had a better time. I felt like I was in a movie and it was downright badass.Written 18 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Marco d12 contributionsVery nice ride. Hella horses are really horse loving people. Horses are taken very well care off (which we feel is key when it comes to animals). Very nice ride across the country side. Small groups. Communication was very easy. Really great fun for, in our case, tja family! Would definitely recommend it. And next time we’re in Iceland we’ll do it again!Written 20 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Sophie HChristchurch, New Zealand4 contributionsHad an amazing time riding the Icelandic ponies, especially experiencing their unique gait while looking out at several volcanoes. Wish we had done the 2 hour ride but we were low on time during our time in Iceland. - Terri B1 contributionI can not rave enough about the tour guides at Southcoast Adventure. We were lucky enough to have Magnus on day 1 and 2 (private tour to the Silver Circle and Glaciers) and Gundy on day 3 (Katla Cave, Vik, and Black Sand Beaches). Both were beyond wonderful and really went above and beyond to make our experience incredible. On our request, both made detours to see sights that were not listed. If I could give them a higher rating than 5, I would!Written 30 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Tim C7 contributionsWe had a great day with Magnus. Super fun cruising around in in the Land Rover and saw some outrageous landscapes. We took a few hour hike to break up the day. Learned a ton about the geology and ecology of the area. Magnus obviously very much enjoys what he does and it shows.Written 31 July 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - L M23 contributionsIt is an understatement to say that Agust went above and beyond from the moment he picked us up at the airport to the moment he dropped us off in Reykjavik 4 days later. My 15-year-old son and I were so lucky that a good friend had recommended Agust and his Alfasteinn Guesthouse. He was an incredible host - up before us to prepare breakfast each day and still taking care of everything as we turned in each night. He drove us ALL OVER, sharing many special places of Iceland at the perfect times each day to avoid crowds, get the best views and photos, and hear his many stories as a lifelong Icelander who loves sharing his country with its visitors. I believe he may have hiked every peak in the country! We not only experienced many of the places well-known to tourists, but so many hidden treasures as well. We were in Iceland for almost 2 weeks, and Agust's recommendations helped us enjoy our entire visit, even after we were off on our own again. I cannot recommend Agust highly enough as a guide and host who loves what he does - he is truly amazing and a terrific person as well.Written 2 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
