What travellers are saying
- aidsnangMorrinsville, New Zealand238 contributionsWhen we visited in late Nov as part of a 2-day South Coast tour, the waterfall was largely iced up, which made it look really cool, and great for photos.
Well formed paths to get to it and further beyond to see further waterfalls in the vicinity.
Unfortunately there were far too many tourists jostling for position to take their photos, so suggest if you do get an opportunity to choose the time of your visit, make it early or later in the day.Written 4 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. While in Iceland we had soaked up plenty of history (National Museum of Iceland) and science (Northern Lights, volcanoes and glaciers), but this tour was an excellent first-hand peek into the early settlement and lifestyle of the country's first inhabitants. Our guide, Stefan, was knowledgeable, funny and passionate about the subject and the preservation of the caves' stories.
Hightly recommend this tour!Written 4 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It's nice waterfall on the blue water near some beautiful mountains. One of hidden gems of Iceland that you must see. Stunning place.Written 15 August 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Bryony77Reading, UK121 contributionsThis waterfall is just a few minutes south of Hella off road 25. Parking for just a few cars but a perfect quick stop off point driving the south route. Very picturesque and quiet.Written 31 August 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
