Our overall experience was terrific. Our guides - Carl, Ethan and Carly were top notch and made the experience a lot of fun. The views of the Smoky Mountains from the course are really gorgeous. Finally, the scheduling (and rescheduling) of our plan was easy and smooth. I would recommend Climb Works to anyone who is looking for a fun, unique adventure in the Gatlinburg area.

My husband and I really enjoyed this tour with Kindel as our guide. Although it was mid-October, we experienced unexpected snow at Newfound Gap, with the road closed to the Clingman Dome. ( Made for fun photos.) Kindel used the opportunity to chat about the weather in the Smokies and her experiences. She was always friendly and upbeat and sharing anecdotes definitely added to the charm of the tour.

Our guide Corian was super! So much knowledge about the wildlife in the park and the history of the area. She knew about so many plants and what they had been used for in the past. The hike itself wasn’t too strenuous.

Beautiful views and lots of activities to do. Lodging and restaurants are usually busy so make reservations in advance, if possible. Locals have always been very friendly to us.

Great guide. We thought the hike was fairly easy. My son and I are runners age 20 and 62. My concerns are about falling and felt this hike had a nice mix of traversing terrain and beauty. I feel our guide would have adapted the hike for beginners. However come prepared.

I've lived here for years and love to fish, but was raised/learned how to fish in Florida. I had no idea what I was doing trying to catch trout. After spending the day with Wes it's no wonder why I never had much luck in these streams. With instruction from Wes I've never had so much action on my line in these streams in all my time fishing them.

It finally took my wife surprising me for my 50th birthday with this trip for this to happen. Why do we put off experiences in life and make excuses? So, yes, now you need to call SMG, ask for Wes and book a trip upstream.

3rd hike w “A walk in the woods”. 1st 2 were 4 yrs ago w 3 young teens and we all had a fabulous time and learned a lot. This time we are back in town w senior citizens. We wanted them to see as much as they could of the park while keeping them safe. This was a great choice.

Enjoyed the experience totally! Tour guide Kindel was the most gracious host. We had the entire van to ourselves. We also got to walk parts of the Applichian trail. I totally recommend the experience to anyone visiting the Gatlinburg area. We would definitely go on another tour with this company. Cades Cove perhaps? We shall see!

Brooke was fantastic with my five year old daughter. She was patient while my daughter tallied all the wild flowers Brooke shared with us. She played a senses game with her and had her taste the different plants that were edible. We happened to be the only two on the walk and she accommodated and earlier time which was better for us. We had a great time!

We hired a walk-in in the woods to shuttle us to and from the trillium gap trail for an overnight trip to the lodge on Mt Leconte. They were in time for pick up at the hotel and the trail, professional, good drivers, and polite. The office staff was responsive and courteous. The pricing was reasonable. Would 100 percent recommend and would absolutely book them again on our next hike. Don’t stress about parking and driving after a long hike, best decision on our trip.

Clayton and Wes are fantastic guides! They are very knowledgeable about the area, and they also have a great sense of humor. They provided everything that we needed for the hike. I highly recommend scheduling a tour with them!

What a wondrous day we spent with our guide as he shared his love of the woods, his knowledge and kindness. It was raining snd drizzling throughout the walk and that did not faze us or interrupt our journey and enjoyment as we were safely guided and cared for. Can’t wait to return.
