When visiting NYC, you should really try to get out on to the water for some amazing views of the Lower Manhattan Skyline. This is also where you will find The Statue of Liberty and the Eilis Island Museum. You have several options including taking a Circle Line Cruise that also travels up and down the Hudson and East Rivers or booking a ticket to go out to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. There is also the free option of taking a round trip on the Staten Island Ferry

Named after the former First Lady given her contributions to the city and as she was known to jog here, this huge body of water located in the northern section of Central Park provides for some amazingly scenic views with the city rising up behind the trees surrounding the reservoir. Great place to walk or jog on a sunny day. You are supposed to walk around the path in a counterclockwise fashion so don't be one of the annoying fools traveling the wrong direction.

very nice lake at the top of Central Park. we saw many turtles sunning themselves and geese swimming. it was pretty and there was a fun happy vibe. Afro-Caribbean music was playing and people were enjoying the lovely day. I wouldn't go out of my way to see it but it is pleasant if you are in the area.

Pleasant area of Central Park located along the east side of the park. Here you will find the Alice in Wonderland Statue and the Hans Cristian Anderson Statue. Since 1957, a storytelling program for children takes place at the Hans Christian Andersen statue on Saturday mornings during the summer from June 1 to September 21 at 11am. During the summer months, you can also rent model boats to put out onto the water.

Located near Belvedere Castle and the Great Lawn in Central Park. This is a scenic spot and is a place you can see turtles and other wildlife.

Don't miss the West Harlem Piers Park at the end of 125th Street near the new extension of the Columbia Campus. It has the most breathtaking views of the Hudson River and the Palisades, the coolest breezes on a hot day and a nice place to sit down.

There is some interesting art work in the park that you should see and it is a nice place to take your lunch and eat it by the river. It is just a nice place to relax and enjoy the views.

Great place for natural outdoor fun. We like to pack some snacks or a picnic and spend the day fishing and swimming. There is a rope swing not far down the creek. Many birds including various water fowl can be seen. We have caught small mouth bass, rock bass, perch, and carp. Plenty of parking and if you kayak there is easy water access close to parking.

You know I've avoided going over to Bk because of how degraded the Subway system feels, and I don't drive. A friend invited me over to watch a game and suggested I take the Ferry. It was cool. Decent ticket price, seating, it was pretty clean, and the drop off points are close to where I needed to be. Think I've found a new way of getting out more.
