Wow it's so lively and exciting to be there and being a huge fan of watching movies shot there so I always wondered how it must be. Its was very busy and everyone happy and enjoying the moment. Prices of food near by is very expensive, if you walk couple of blocks its almost half.

This famous area of Lower Manhattan is well worth a visit, for its leafy streets and quieter vibe as well as its long history and association with may famous American artists.

We went specifically for lunch but wandered around the area an on Mulberry Street. Lots of shops but most of them selling the same things; each one trying to get you in their shop. Plenty of restaurants all touting for business but the menus are all similar and they were all busy on a busy Sunday afternoon.

China Town is definitely worth a visit if you have spare time. Not overly large or a lot to see. Suggest combining a walk through Little Italy as it is so close. Many very good not expensive restaurants in China Town and a number of fresh fruit and vegetable stalls on the footpath- great selection and good prices.

West Village is a charming and vibrant neighborhood with great restaurants, cozy cafes, and an overall relaxed vibe. It’s a must-see if you have 5 or more days in NYC, or after you've explored nearby spots like Chelsea Market. The tree-lined streets, quaint boutiques, and excellent dining options make it a perfect place to wander and soak in the atmosphere. Whether you're grabbing a bite or just enjoying the sights, West Village is definitely worth the visit.

Spent a day whilst visiting NY, bustling, signs of the gentrification I've heard the TV show Harlem speak of, but this becomes less so the further you walk away from Central Park. Fascinating to see some many entertaining traders selling their wares on the street. We walked straight down Malcolm X Boulevard and as the phrase goes, all human life is here. As much as we loved our hotel in Manhattan and its environs, Harlem feels more typical of New York life - take that as you wish.

This square is a really great place for a wander and to soak in the energy of the city without the mayhem of certain tourist traps farther north. I love coming here for the market, which is held several days per week - there's a tremendous variety of stuff for sale here. There's also a big chance that you'll encounter a protest, rally, or other politicized (and normally calm) social gathering; Union Square has been a hub for social activism for ages. Strand Books (the famous used bookstore) and Max Brenner are nearby.

Lower Manhattan combines financial and historical districts of NY. It's strategical and famous as much as if you have time possible to make it.

You can come here for the museums along the Park, for entrances to the Park, for Lincoln Center and the fine arts, for Columbia University and some great architecture, and for Seinfeld country, the part of town where the sitcom was staged. It's a great place to live, lots of good apartments. Also lots of food.

    So many food options.

Five Senses is always a good spot, K Town Pocha for some spicy Tteokbokki, spicy tuna and everything Kimbaps from the Food Gallery at the Gochujang kiosks are always yummy.

Her Name is Han is a decent spot, along with other popular spots, but expect to wait for a good half hour to an hour. Most places don’t have a lot of seating.

Easy to walk around quite for the most part. Not far from the river and the docks. There are plenty of restaurants and stores in the area.

There were always things to do and watch on the Upper East Side -this time, it was fireworks over the East River. Just walk down to the waterfront and see for yourself on a perfect July 4th Holiday

This neighborhood is at one end of the High Line, so it is easy to find. I remember when it was very sketchy and unsafe. Not any more! Now it is full of Prada and the like, so lots of high end shopping and expensive cocktails. You can see the old classic warehouse architecture repurposed into luxury.

This neighborhood is in the center of Manhattan, sort of Midtown. You will find workshops and warehouses here, all devoted to the wholesale clothing trade. You will see workers pushing racks of clothes. And there are delis for lunch and some offices. Lots of public transit all around. And the FIT.
