Now with Timed Entry from 6 am to 5 pm an ideal option, especially those with passes already purchased or senior passes, is to enter just after 5 pm, plan a picnic at Devil's Garden picnic are, take a short hike on the Devil's Garden trails, and then enjoy the stops in the park in the cool hours until the sun sets around 8:30 pm. Plenty of space in parking areas, plenty of picnic area space. Gorgeous!

The ability to drive your own UTV. It was just scary enough. Ben was our guide, he provides a great tour, knowing a lot of local history he was very interesting. The length of the tour was perfect. Good value for the money. Don’t miss it

We drove Island in the sky and hiked along the no rail canyon rim trail. Beautiful but windy.
    Not too crowded in April

This is a gem in Moab. We drove up from Moab (about 35 minutes) and spent about 1.5 hours here. The views of the Colorado are amazing. Excellent viewpoints. Great photo ops. On the way out, a family of cows were in the road with their babies. It was just so fun to watch (they have free roaming in the area) and a perfect end to the day.

This was a great hike, and didn't even have to enter a park. It was heavily traveled and well marked. It did include a short ladder and a short chain section.

Just a short distance from Moab on a public road (no timed entry, no tickets required), there is beautiful scenery, with dramatic sandstone walls--Wall Street--and to top it off some marvelous Petroglyphs from the past! Fun and informative drive!

It is a very short walk up to this arch. Once you are up there you can see several arches in view as well

Long trail with a large arch at the end - Cliffhandle Arch. A few technical parts and steep inclines..but that is the exception. A few water crossings and overall relaxing. Took 2 hours out and back...

Underrated, but very beautiful. It was a sidekick from our journey to Moab and it was worth each mile.

Balanced Rock is an amazing rock feature in Arches National Park. It is easily visible on the park road. However, it is worth the time to park nearby and hike the short walk around Balanced Rock. Getting up close gives more perspective and also views of the La Sal Mountains in the far distance. it is an easy walk and not at all a difficult hike. I recommend it.

You will definitely have the road to yourself in November. This road travels to 8000 feet of elevation and shows amazing scenery.

This is another hidden gem. We stopped by the visitors' center and they recommended this, so the next morning, early, we drove out to Potash, where the road just ends. Along the way are great views, including the rock climbers, which was fun to watch. We also had great views of the Colorado River and the Petroglyphs up close. It was a great way to spend a few hours and it is right up the road in Moab.

We arrived to Moab area mid afternoon and wanted to do something before sunset. This place was perfect. We enjoyed taking a lot of photos of dinosaur statues with beautiful rocky backgrounds. 3D aquarium was very cool! We loved it. The place wasn’t busy at all, towards the end it was just us! We enjoyed walking around among dinosaurs!!

The Dino Trail and Tracksite are 2 separate areas in close proximity. As of April 16, 2022 the track portion is still closed due to damage caused by construction vehicles. This was super disappointing for our Dino loving boys.
We traveled by minivan so to get to the trail with bones we needed to park about 1/2 mile away and hike in. The road had deep sand, large rocks and some big puddles- don’t attempt it without 4WD.
The bone trail was nice and fairly short but has a decent bit of climbing to it.

beautiful drive in an intense red canyon along the river. Some parking was full. I would camp there if I were camping tho I think no services.
