    Great way to get to know the island!
    This was a great way for us to get an over-all experience of the big island. David was a wonderful guide, friendly and knowledgeable. We could have driven this ourselves, but sitting back while someone else took the wheel and filled us in on the history, geography, and people of the island, along with some stories with local color, was a much better way to go. Stops along the way, were just long enough, including the volcano crater and spectacular waterfalls. Everyone on the van was friendly. It’s an all-day trip. Be prepared for rain and cooler temperatures.

    Good trip!
    The tour was definitely cool! We did not get to see lava flow which was ok. We would have liked to go around the tops of the mountains, which we did not do.

    Great Day at VNP!
    I reserved this excursion for part of my group that was traveling with me, and they stated it was an excellent day and that they enjoyed it so much. They said the restaurant where they went for lunch was fantastic and the pictures that they shared with me was beautiful. They also stated that they had a great guide (sorry I didn't get the guides name). Thank you for helping to make my travelers experience in Hawaii great!

    Awe-inspiring
    Totally amazing. *Jason* was super safe driving, clearly expert in big island history and culture. Brought a very nuanced approach to complicated issues about the proposed development of another big telescope installation on Mauna Kea. His excitement about the stars and the Hawaiian people's history of using them to navigate incredible distances was palpable. We learned a lot and had great fun. Highest recommendation, something for everyone on this tour.

    Best Kona tour!!!
    Our tour guide, Christopher, was so knowledgeable! He made everything interesting. There were so many things we learned about the island and about volcanoes. Going to Volcano National park was a real treat as we were able to look over into the crater!!! I would strongly recommend this tour!!!!

    Worth it great experience
    Great trip learned a lot about Hawaii and the Volcanoes from Kaylon. My wife was worried about about the bike trip, but the E-bikes were excellent being in our 60’s it didn’t bother us doing about 16 miles great trip

    Great transport on Hilo
    This is a great way to get around in Hilo. The staff were great and very helpful. Overall a terrific and reasonably priced way to see the best sights.

    Best experience on the whole trip!
    You gotta experience this while visiting Big Island. I was nervous about the boat ride, but it was super smooth and nice. I recommend booking 5:30 tour, because we got to see whales and dolphins on our way, tour at 8 doesn't get to see any of that. The crew took a bunch of pictures and videos that were shared with us at the end of the tour (free of charge). They even recorded under the water with the GoPro, which was super cool.

    Geo adventure family trip for the win!
    We had a most excellent adventure on our trip around the island with David. I was pleased to find out that they would pick up from Waikoloa Beach Marriott as we didn't have a car. David has a vast knowledge of so much of the island it's amazing and he charmed us with a ton a factoids the whole day. We brought our 11 and 13 yr olds with - it's a lot of driving, but they had a good time and enjoyed all of the sites we stopped at. I imagine it would be hard for younger children. The lunch stop was good - the snacks and drinks were great and kept the kiddos happy. Highly recommend if you are short on time on the island but want to see as much as you can in little time.

    Big Island Volcano Tour
    The tour was a nice overview of the Hilo area as well as the water falls and volcano experience. Dexter, our driver and tour guide was extremely informative, explaining many sights along our route. I only leave a 4/5 rating overall because the tour company seemed a little unorganized with pickup location details. I give my tour guide Dexter a 5 Star for an excellent informative tour!

    First our tour guide, Jill was amazing! She picked us up from the harbor and our group of 11 was off to the Volcano National Park. We first stopped at a waterfall when it started to rain, that woul be with us through most of the day. Jill was prepared with umbrellas for us. While driving she regaled us with stories of her childhood growing up on the big island with volcano at her back door and the various eruptions through the years. There were several stops on the trip, but by far the most exciting was seeing the volcano and its lava flow. She had a telescope and binoculars to show us the flow. There was a medium amount of walking so where good shoes for the rain. The trip was about 5-6 hours and was really well worth it. Gladly take it again.

    Gotta do it at least once
    So worth it. Just coincidence that we booked this months ago, before the Manual Loa eruption. Allen is a great pilot. I will say the front row is NOT a 3 seater. My right arm and shoulder were hanging out and had a very hard time maneuvering my phone for pictures. The eruption took the time that would have been allocated to the rain forest viewing. Fair trade. Word to the wise… heed the notice about dressing warm for doors off flight, especially since it started raining up there. (Again, arm and shoulder hanging outside the cockpit.) Would do it again though.

    Spectacular tour!!
    Skyler and the team provided a first hand view of the destruction of the most recent lava flow from 2018. The two properties owners from Leilani Estates provided a first hand view of the efforts made to try and save their homes. The trip out to view the newly created beach, the farmers market, the painted church and the new ground for the Hawaiian culture centre completed a most unique excursion. I would highly recommend this trip over any other to see what the power of lava creates!!
