Alpine Valley is not to far away from Chicago. This resort have affordable programs for kids who like to learn snowboard and skiing.
The resort is clean also the bathrooms and in a good shape no complain about it.
The food is also good you have to try "Salad Sandwich" and the personal is working really hard to make the tourists happy.

This museum has two parts - one devoted to everything railroad-wise, and another - to a general history of the White Lake Area. Please be advised: White Lake Area Historical Society's acronym is WLAHS. If you google it, there is another WLAHS in Whitehall, Michigan (also White Lake Area Historical Society). All the while, not to be confused with Whitehall, WI. Outside, the museum has a section of a track with a Pede car and a car house, plus a narrow-gauge box car.

3 generation, ages 6-70, enjoyed a fun ride in a ver nice setting. The horses were well cared foe and the owners took care to match the skill level with the horse. The guide was very helpful and friendly. There was a second guise at the end of our group of 8 which was reassuring. It was a beautiful day.
The rating would have gee. A 5 except for one incident that could have been catastrophic- there was a gun in a holster one one of the guides horses. The guide wasn’t on the horse yet but somehow the gun fell out of the holster into the ground. We were very fortunate that it did not misfire and strike someone or spook the horses as some of us were ready to start. Hopefully a lesson learned and extreme caution will br taken in the future not to allow this to happen again

We (2 adults, 1 teenager) rented a raft to take our first rafting trip. We chose the long trip they offer so we could have a mix of calm waters to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings and some rapids to get experience maneuvering thru the rougher water before advancing to a trip going over Big Smokey Falls. This was a great trip for us and the falls were fun, a bit Challenging and gave us the experience needed to go on rougher water. A lot of fun but like all activities, get some knowledge before you go. They will be honest with you about what trip will best suit your skill level. Will raft with them again!

Favorite part of this trip for most people is Gilmores Mistake in front of Crab N Jacks! It is right before the take out. The river is an adventurers paradise. There are a few different rapids that you will go through. It is so much fun!

It can be very fun but very scary!! They people at the office to sign the waiver n what not could explain a little more to you. You really get here sign this waiver, im case you die its not their fault type of waivers, and tell you if you fall in Keep your feet up and don't panic... okay great... but its not easy to keep your feet up.. the waters strong.. a couple of my friend went completely down the second set of falls in the water cause it swept them away.. you're probably going to get beat up by rocks and boulders if you end up out of your raft. Our group didn't wear helmets but probably will next time... it was scary trying to keep tabs on my friends in The water as me and my partner were going down the fall backwards. My boyfriend and I had to hike back up to retrieve their raft that was stuck in the rapids... us two enjoyed it so much the other 4 were more happy we made it out alive... which we were too... obviously.. experiences can vary...and the last fall needs a sign that says so not go towards the bridge way... stay to the falls... cause from the looks of it you can get seriously hurt if you ended up going down the bridge way! 2 of the 6 of is loved it... the other 4 not so much... but it was a experience of a life time !
